http://www.ac4vr.com/reports/032405/OhioElectionReport.pdf adds,
"5.2 Incidents Of Voter Harassment Across Ohio, instances of illegal electioneering within 100 feet of the polling location were reported. The organizations most responsible for sponsoring this activity were MoveOn.org, America Coming Together, Voter Protection Project, and the Election Protection Squad and similar so called non-partisan groups. A few examples of those incidents, among thousands collected, follow:"
Remember that MoveOn.org is the same organization that knowingly and willfully welcomed racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian hate speech at its online forum until the scandal forced the forum to shut down in mid-September. http://www.stentorian.com/MoveOn/ for more about this.
http://www.command-post.org/2004/2_archives/cat_ohio.html adds, "There were some blatant Kerry groups getting too close to the polling areas and reports of 527 groups inappropriately electioneering. What that means is that groups like Acorn, ACT, and Moveon.org were found distributing Kerry literature, wearing Kerry adverts, approaching voters trying to get to the polls
and more of the same in areas that are to be kept free of such things so as not to intefere with voters who disagree with the ideologies and potlitical views of such groups."

Is this old? From last election? Link refers to older incidents, is there a news item on this?

Ah, the National Socialists are on the move again. Soon, the "Brown Shirts" just might come out of the closet, and history repeat its self.

You might want to make sure some precincts in Ohio know about this important ruling.

All the more reason for FReepers to get pollwatching credentials (from any area GOP campaign), move around on Election Day from poll to poll, have cell phone in hand with the phone number of your STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS number already programmed in, digital still or video camera if possible to videotape the "perps".

OOOHHHH, why can't this happen to me. Just once, PLEEEEEEASE, just once.
To: Winged Hussar
If you got a cell phone camera, snap some pics. :)

"When he exited the polling place, the MoveOn.org table was placed in front of his car, blocking his exit."
Instead of plaintiffs, they should have been speed bumps.
To: Winged Hussar
These incidents, and other incidents where a person is physically blocked or impeded is not just harassment but can also be construed as an assault. Should this happen to you, you would be justified in telling the individual who is physically blocking you to "Get out of the way, NOW!" and if they do not comply immediately, then pound them to the ground so they can't get back up. Then call the police and press charges against them.

I wonder why they don't pull that stuff here in Texas. We miss all the fun.
