I doubt it. There isn't an Arab leader in the world who loves this guy: feared him at one point, yes. Respected him? never.
And most of the people in Iraq want the man dead. Besides, he is a criminal of the highest order and deserves the death penalty. What do you tell the Kurds if this guy isn't hung?
What do you tell the thousands of Iraqi people who lost loved ones during his rule.
Most importantly - if the guy isn't executed we lose face in the eyes of all Islamics. Again we would look weak. We do look weak as it is to many of them.
They respect strength and power - not high minded misguided Western ideals about the death penalty being wrong.

yes. I was there but George Wendt ( Norm ) only phoned in his segment. He was not there. The man running against Ted Kennedy was there as well as a man named Brady running for the House if I recall. Kerry Heally didnt show. Deval Patrick didn't show. Oh, mid morning radio host John Depetro was fired for calling Green candidate Ross a " fat Lesbian ". Which she is...so its a little strange.
