I've believed that was part of his strategery for a long time.

It amazes me how few pundits on the right bring up just how advantageous it is to be in Iraq/Afghanistan... when the inevitable showdown with Iran arrives. To pull out of Iraq now... is to guarantee losing more lives for bases that are already secured.
