It all depends. Say there is a Democratic prosecutor who wants to make a name for himself. He will file charges against big contributors to the Republican party and hope the publicity will force those people to agree to a settlement, without ever going to trial. On the other hand, he will avoid (unless absolutely forced) prosecuting influential Democrat politicans or contributors, as this might damage his political prospects.

This has concerned me as well. What do they do if they don't take over the House and Senate? What if they don't even gain seats, overall, or only a couple in both houses? I think that they melt down and break up as a party into much more narrowly focused and competing groups, such as the "progressive Democrats" versus the "Democrat Leadership Council" types.
But continuing the analogy to Obrador's supporters, who have been trying to occupy the city of Oaxaca (with the idea of breaking away?), what would the moonbats do in this country that is analogous? Occupy Berkeley? They've occupied Berkeley since 1969. Who cares?
I hope you are right...but, I wonder if word came down from Soros that the "we have it in the bag" attitude that they WERE displaying would drive more Republicans out to vote...and to just cool it.
IOW...maybe they are just pretending to NOT be confidante.
Also...they have seen how being "the underdog" has spurred the conservatives...so they are acting like "underdogs".
Plus, they have Nancy pretty much muzzled...or she is off to the Orient, picking out expensive rugs for her lavish new Speaker of the House office...and for her possible move to the White House, if they are successful in getting Bush AND Cheney impeached and removed from office.
(these are scenarios that kick up the little butterflies that have been in my stomach for a few days now...what can I say, I am a masochist!)

I WANT to watch...but, if he and whoever else is on...will just say the same old..."looks like for SURE the House will be DEM...and possibly the Senate"...I will be turning it OFF...even though I love Brit...I do NOT want to hear that again today....ugh

I totally agree w you and they should, too if proven guilty. I didn't mean to sound flippant - hope I didn't. After the last election when the election was stolen from Dino Rossi, I guess I'm not feeling too hopeful. IIRC items were given to the DOJ Attorney here and nothing was done.
I posted something earlier from soundpolitics.com re potential voter problems and there are others on the site:
soundpolitics.com. Stefan Sharkansky was all over the last election, trying to get various items released, and, I'm sure he's dogging this one. The RNC may be watching fraud as well, I don't know as I've not heard anything. If they're not, they definitely should be - - especially close races - -NOW - not after the election. I would have hoped they've learned their lesson, but, I'm not so sure.
IIRC, one of the measures on the ballot out in Berekley, is whether to impeach President Bush...so I think they are ready to secede right now....LOL
Neither do I. Frankly, I have made up my mind. We are going to hold both chambers. I don't need to hear anything more from the likes of Larry Sabato, Joe Klien, Pat Buchanan and yes, even the wonderful Brit Hume. We will win. Bah has spoken :)
I'm not going to watch it. I'm enough of a nervous wreck as it is.
Ive done what I can, will try and do a little more tomorrow. Ive called everyone I know to call, and even planted the seeds of doubt about the dims to a liberal friend at work.
I'm going to drink some scotch, smoke my last two good cigars and watch my new Gabe Suarez tactical shooting DVD.
At 11 pm, if Im still awake, I might re watch friday night's battlestar galactica too.

Agree, but my point was we are not choosing 435 reps, but 434, because the run off will not occur immediately.

Somehow those fraudulent ballots were found in Missouri from ACORN...before the election.
Sooo...some people are looking out.
But, there must be 4-5 stories a day on Fox about the "possiblity of voting maching mess-ups"...
so..the seed has been planted in the minds of some voters that THEIR vote might not have been counted...and so we will have that scene like in 2004, with Babs Boxer and Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, demanding a recount in Ohio...
I DO know one thing...somebody in the Bush Administration has GOT to check out that rally with Clinton in the church with Harold Ford....it was reported that there were people speaking in tongues...and chanting religious verses, etc.
