Iraq urges calm ahead of Saddam verdict
By CHRISTOPHER BODEEN, Associated Press Writer 38 minutes ago
SNIP
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday urged his countrymen to accept the impending verdict against Saddam Hussein without violence, then in the next breath declared the former dictator must get "what he deserves" with the decision that could send him to the gallows.
LOL! And yet, the meaning is still so very clear and accurate. ;)
Hey! We're talking food too!
Remeber when the troops played heavy metal so Noriega couldn't sleep? Torture!
so has the verdict been announced?
teehee ;)
YES! I will ping you if I'm still awake. I am going to lie down on my couch too, but not yet.
I use my toaster oven instead of the big oven. That way I can see what's going on with them. I don't have to keep pulling out the rack to check.
Have you ever noticed how frequently 'live' threads can turn into a food thread? We must be a hungry bunch.
Woohoo, my 2 favorite topics, food and soon to be dead dictators. May have to fry up some dictator tots for the occasion.
Noriega...Ortega...Gueverra...pass the guacamole.
Carter hasn't met a commie he didn't like
We need Ahmed to report. That's a throwback to those of us who watched/reported the invasion via the net and webcams placed all over Baghdad.
I despise both of them. Equally.
I don't remember that, but I love the thought of it. Noriega had more craters on his face than the man in the moon.
Pineapple face is in jail in Miami, Ortega-D seems to have been restored to power. To bad the USSR is not around to fund him these days, although I'm sure Chavez is doing his part.
Only if Saddam is found not guilty. I'd have to do a handstand against the wall right between the short order counter and the sandwich bar...during lunch for maximum exposure. With a whole slew of troops in there.
But I won't have to do it. Saddam's going down. ;-)
Chena, please tell your son THANK YOU for me!
Can I offer you some fresh baked oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies and a nice tall glass of milk? ;)
When you cross a penis and a potato...
I loved Slug Bug. Not much action nowadays though.
LOL --- YES! LIVE threads often turn to the subject of food --- not that I encourage it...lol.
Pylon is a great cook and he eats at restaurants I love.
No one's on live now .. what happened?
BTW, I had Fr. Corapi on EWTN (I LOVE him) and he was talking about the state of the world, the precipice we're on with things falling into depravity here, and he started talking about the elections. He mentioned something I didn't know: that in 2000 the election was decided on Dec. 12th, the feast of Our Lady of Guadeloupe .. and said you know what that means ... pray.
