The New York Times published their article yesterday where they claimed that the Foreign Military Intelligence Office (FMSO) website posted few captured Iraqi documents about Saddam regime nuclear program and that these document contain a lot of technological details that can be used by country like Iran to help them in their nukes program. The New York Times said that it was the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) who complained to the US government about this few weeks ago.
Congressman Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee disputed the New York Times article and part of his statement to rebuttal the article he said this
.. Second, my staff's preliminary review of the documents in question suggests that at least some of them may be internal IAEA documents. There is a serious question of why and how the Iraqi these documents in the first place. We need to explore that carefully - I certainly hope there will be no evidence that the IAEA had been penetrated by Saddam's regime.Link: Rep. Hoekstra (Republican) responds to NYTimes http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1731635/posts ..
Well Congressman Hoekstra is RIGHT. Document ISGP-2003-00020767 which is dated February 1997 talks about Saddam regime spying on the IAEA and working to get The researches and studies that are done by the IAEA. The spying on the IAEA was a part of the intelligence gathering that the Iraqi were doing in Vienna where the IAEA headquarters are, also they were spying on OPEC which is also has its headquarters in Vienna, as well as spying on the Austrian government. Although this is a 1997 intelligence work plan, it is not something new that the Iraqis have been doing, they have been spying on the IAEA prior to 1997.
Below is a partial translation of document ISGP-2003-00020767 , page 1 and page 6 of the document.

Yeah, when Saddam's goons were not busy infiltrating both the IAEA and the UN Inspectors they were merely thwarting and intimidating them at every turn. How could any honest person prior to March 2003 believe anything except that Saddam was never going to stay WMD-free?? (and he didn't, he made sure he kept all sorts of equipment, supplies, and documents so that he could re-start "surge" production at any time, according to good KGB doctrine).

Dear Sir,
For all the wonderful and difficult work you do here, I hereby nominate you for a Noble Prize. No, there's nothing wrong with my spelling. The Nobel Prize is given by liberals to liberals, dictators, and other miscreants. Heck, no less a war criminal than Yassir Arafat was a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
What you are doing is really noble. We are all in your debt.

The New York Times walked right into the trap by publishing their stupid article yesterday. They played right into our hands and into our strong turf. We have the facts and the truth on our side, they have nothing but hate and lies.

That was good thinking, Joe. I'd be curious as to who Iraq had working in Vienna back then. And under what cover. Think I'll google around a bit.

I bet it was the existence of documents such as the one jveritas refers to on this thread that caused certain individuals to enlist the aid of the NYTimes in shutting down internet access to the documents, not the excuse that someone could build an a-bomb from enclosed directions.

Great minds thinking alike..... I've been supposing that it's that and/or that bozos in the IAEA and NY Times, etc. are terrified that if they can't now, finally change the course of the US government there will truly be a reckoning in the next two years. Either way (or for both reasons) the weasels are desperate to try to prevent further revelations. Whether or not many more such docs get onto the web, the weasels are worried that if the Demagogues don't take over Congress then it will finally be time for some serious investigations and hearings in 2007, and the IAEA, UN, EU-drones, and MSM would never survive a full and extensive airing of their perfidy. They have been betraying civilization and humanity in their jihad against the USA.
