George Bush, Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld think you?re stupid. Yes, they do.
They think they can take a mangled quip about President Bush and Iraq by John Kerry, a man who is not even running for office but who, unlike Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, never ran away from combat service, and get you to vote against all Democrats in this election.
Every time you hear Mr. Bush or Mr. Cheney lash out against Mr. Kerry, I hope you will say to yourself, "They must think I'm stupid." Because they surely do.
They think that they can get you to overlook all of the Bush team's real and deadly insults to the U.S. military over the past six years by hyping and exaggerating Mr. Kerry's mangled gibe at the president.

Too bad he didn't have insight as to why he would attack the press secretary (since he didn't bring it up and was asked about it, then told the truth), or why he blamed Limbaugh when he hadn't even been on the air to say a word yet.
Doesn't matter. He meant to say what he said and none of the six lies he told after will convince the brainless he's lying. I'm glad Friedman brought it up again, so they'll give the pastor a break... and we can slam him again... since the DCCC has gone through so much to bury/spin the Kerry gaffe.
Don't worry... at this pace they'll be running on pennies by 08.
Friedman is Kerry's Ninja Campaign Manager.
He dropped the second note card with the scripted joke he wrote for Kerry to read.
Friedman would never think Kerry should have apologized, and Kerry's just a Friedman puppet, so what do you expect from these two colossal idiots.
While Tom Friedman is a skilled writer, he is cut from the same elitist snob cloth as John Kerry is. He "knows" that he grasps the nuances better than we do.
Excellent video. Thanks for that link.
The really funny thing is all of them keep on trying to tell you the foul smelly stuff they now got all over their bodies is just chocolate ice cream.
That's getting a little tiresome. The NYT employee is borrrring.
Deferments (approved postponement of compulsory military service) were not unusual. In fact, John Kerry, I believe, sought such a deferment to attend school in France but was denied. Rather than be drafted into the Army (with his inferiors) he joined the Navy never expecting to step foot in a swift boat that patrolled inland water, I believe.
President Bush was an Air Guard jet pilot. LBJ desperately wanted to avoid calling up the reserves and Guard but there were no guarantees.
I thank Mr. Kerry for his service. But I am mindful that Benedict Arnold was a hero to both sides in the same war, also.
The really funny thing is all of them keep on trying to tell you the foul smelly stuff they now got all over their bodies is just chocolate ice cream.
The old "you're a chickenhawk so shut up!" argument, once more.
Don't you dare criticize the four-months-in-'Nam war hero ever again!
(That'll show 'em, those rightwingers!)
;^)
MAJOR UPDATE: JOHN KERRY'S OWN WEBSITE CLAIMS HIS "JOKE" WAS "RIGHT EITHER WAY" !!!
