Last night at a political rally in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho, I asked Vice President Cheney to autograph a large print of the now famous "Dear Jon Carry" sign. You can view it at http://www.boundarygop.org/
I imagine everyone in their unit knows who they are...the smiling ones that everyone is high fiving.
Thanks for your service (and continued service) to this great nation. Thanks for the link. Great pics.
Sure the unit it knows, but they'll cover each other's back. There will be no "squealing" from that quarter. ;)
Besides, they didn't mention John Kerry. The message was clearly addressed to one "Jon Carry." Good luck prosecuting what someone "meant" rather than what someone actually did.
Maybe Pres. Bush will issue a blanket pardon.
Can you imagine what happened when Secretary Rumsfeld first saw the photo? He must have split a gut laughing, "Those are my troopers."
How cool. I'll trade two Micky Mantels and a Brooks Robinson for it. hahahaha!
Congratulations on securing the Veep's signature.
Quite a collectible, and quite an honor.
You see, the military brass are so blooming ignorant that they will never find Carry. They didn't study (like Kerry with four D's at Yale in his first year, almost flunked out). They didn't marry a billionairess who was always three sheets to the wind, except when she was straight-arming her second hubby. Etc. Etc. They will never discover the butt of the joke because they got stuck in the military.
The original is going to my son, a career infantry soldier. We're having a limited edition series of serial numbered copies made. The first two are going to the unit, the rest will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project.
"...the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct."
Excellent!
But the sign says Jon Carry...he'll be hard to find...
That's nothin'! President Bush visited us yesterday in Elko, Nevada! :-)
Holy Cow! If they are visiting these out of the way towns, they must be feeling pretty good.
I like it.
He does look in fine form. He looks more like his Dad as he ages...but that twinkle is definitely his Mom's.
Did you take this?
Well, good luck finding the autographed photo...
Most excellent!
