To millions of Americans, he's the face of evil; the only man convicted for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
For five years, we've seen a still picture of Zacarias Moussaoui, but WNBC.com's Jonathan Dienst has obtained the only known video of the man found to be responsible for the thousands of deaths.
The video was shot as Moussaoui was being transferred to Supermax, a maximum-security prison in Colorado, where he will serve out his sentence of six life terms without the chance of parole.
He was combative in the tape, calling out "allah akbar," which translates to "God is great."
He has been combative since his capture.
At his sentencing, when U.S. Judge Leonie Brinkema sent Moussaoui to prison for life to die with a whimper, the convicted terrorist declared: God save Osama bin Laden -- you will never get him.
A jury rejected the governments case to have Moussaoui executed, deciding instead to send him to prison for life without a chance of parole.
Not all jurors were convinced that Moussaoui, who was in jail on immigration charges Sept. 11, 2001, had a significant part in the attacks, despite his boastful claims that he did.
Prison food must be better then mom's cooking as it looks like he has put on weight
In addition I also think that before they are let out for their hour a day they are handcuffed before the door is opened (via the bean hole?) and remain so the entire time they are out of the cell.
Not that I'm sorry for any of 'em but that's pretty hard duty.
After a few years of 23 hour per day isolation he will probably be wiping himself with pages of the Koran. I just hope his toilet faces Mecca.
NBC failed to mention he is one ugly, hideous bastid!!!
That poured-concrete desk is surely to be real comfortable. Just like this ergonomic one I'm sitting on to type this post ;-).
I dunno...my understanding of the SuperMax prisons is that the clowns are in virtual isolation.
