It's interesting that W is out there stumping for candidates, and I don't believe it's much to do with polls, it's just the way he is. On the other hand the Dem leadership is conspicuous by their absence, I guess they don't want to remind the undecided just who will have the reins if they do get a majority !

He has the luxury of not running for re-election, so I'm sure his presence is nothing but help for the conservative candidates out there...

You're right, the dems are notably absent. John Kerry's remarks need to be addressed, and no one wants to answer for them. Or they're afraid they'll make their own Kerry gaffe.
