Fox & Friends (Lieberman may caucus with the GOP)
3 November 2006 | Erik Latranyi

Fox & Friends this morning are reporting that Lieberman may caucus with the GOP if he wins re-election to the Senate from Connecticut as an Independent.

This may be the reason why Bush and many prominent Republicans are singing the praises of Senator Joe Lieberman.

Gay marriage is, I agree, not a Marxist issue, though most Marxists are on the the side of gay marriage. But the converse is not true, I agree. (I'm in favor of gay monogamy too, and I'll punch anyone who calls me a liberal or a Marxist in the mouth.)

Your "conservative" friends who label you a liberal because of your libertarian stance on gay marriage are guilty of sloppy phrasing.

In the case of Lieberman, who is an avatar of the Third Way movement, there is no doubt he is a socialist. Just consider his fellow traveler Tony Blair. Now, no one is more grateful than I am for Blair's steadfastness in the War on Terror. But the man is not just a leading exponent of Third Way, he is a socialist, in fact a Vice President of the Presidium of Socialist International. Anyone who touts "Third Way" or "progressive" as their philosophy is a socialist, plain and simple. That would include Bill and Hillary Clinton... and Lieberman.

I'll look into it and get it to Jim Quinn (quinn@warroom.com) and others in the media if it is true. That sucks.

If they nominated someone that had a chance to win as a Republican, he would look like chaffee. Yuk! I wish the North East would come back to American Values instead of liberal values.

--Pat Buchanan is right more often than Joe Lieberman.--

Ain't that the truth. In spades!

Red areas are getting redder, blue areas are getting bluer. We're getting to the point of "two nations, one country." Doesn't bode well for the future.

Yeah, it's all Bush's fault! /sarcasm

Bollocks! When you vote for the lesser of two evils, what you get is ... I'll let you finish the statement.

You hit it on the head with this. Problem is today we don't attack that. We accept the terminology due to Political Correctness.

My favorite is Pro-Choice. Everyone is pro-choice. It is just what we choose. Conversely, the left isn't pro-choice and are using the phrasing as a way to suppress choice.

Funny game.

"Were you replying to the content of my post, or just riffing off"

riffing, I don't see Leiberman caucusing with Republicans. I hadn't read your comments about Chaffee.

You're wrong, but I like your screen name, being from PA too. A great bird.

It's particularly important that people hold their noses and get out there to keep Pelosi, Kucinich, Kennedy, Rangel, Reid, et al away from power.

It would be the end of this Republic if we did not, and we're way too close already.

****

By the way, I'm betting that you are under 35 years old. Is that true, if you don't mind me asking?

Brits use the term as we use "Barbra Streisand" (Rush listeners will know what I mean).

Exactly. This is NOT the time to say that. I wonder who provided FOX with that Press Release. Lieberman could not POSSIBLY be stupid enough to say that out loud.
