NYT PLANS EXCLUSIVE STORY ON IRAQ AND RESEARCH OF NUKE BOMB... NEWSROOM SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: 'IT WILL LEAD THE PAPER ON FRIDAY... IT SHOULD IGNITE NEWS CYCLES'... DEVELOPING...
When I saw that, I could picture Howard Dean shouting that, like Captain Kirk trapped inside of the Genesis planet in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn screaming, "Kahnnnnn!!!!"
Exactly my meaning.
I am glad you and I were on the same page.
Guess if its negative to the GOP: That Iraq or sorces within the Iraqi govt RECENTLY starting looking into nuke tech, going behind the US's back or with "tacit approval"...leading to the NYT able to talk about how the invasion was worse for potential terrorist activities. It wouldn't take much of a drumming up of secret quotes etc to piece together that kind of story.
Positive-Some kind of ironclad proof that Saddam was dealing in Nuke tech. For this to be true I would posit it would have to be so ridiculously obvious that the NYT can't deny it, and values the "scoop" over the affect of the election.
Your post is logical and factual - but when has the NY Slimes ever let facts and logic derail a story that supports its agenda?
RYMB!
I wish and hopen that you are right.
BUT, I think we both know better. I am so used to the constant attacks by the drive by media that I am braced but not too worried about this.
After all, it is the Slimes!
Has Rupert Murdoch made an offer to buy the NYT that the NYT couldn't refuse???
NY times INVENTS the news.. they don't report the news.
HIT PIECE HIT PIECE HIT PIECE.
In the post-9/11 world, the US and the West could no longer glide along hoping that he was not developing a Nuke, not in a situation (between 1998 and 2002) when there were no UN inspectors in Iraq.
My guess: Iran's determination to further its nuclear program is tied directly to our decision to invade Iraq, that Iran warned us as such, and it's Bush's fault that Iran is pursuing nukes.
Your guess is pretty close to my guess: a Republican administration secretly gave/sold nuke technology to Iraq.
I had that thought (or something similar) too...see #25 above.
Even if hit piece, I expect an Osama tape, a Saddam Hussein guilty verdict, and more focus on national security. In some measure this hurts the RATS, particularly if we unleash the Dick Morris commercial.
All true, but I don't know what they're planning to put in this "news" story...could be good, could be bad, but either way, it will be interesting.
"HIT PIECE HIT PIECE HIT PIECE."
Doesn't smell good to me either!
Quick..somebody see who is 'lined up' for the Sunday News Shows!! I just want it on record before the 'bomb' drops!
How long until the paper comes out?
You mean they'd actually have to be paying attention to stuff like the truth about the Niger uranium and the recently declassified docs?
You're right, that is a ridiculous notion!
What's the Dick Morris commercial?
Headline I'd like to see:
Date: Nov 9, 2006; Having assured itself a majority in both houses of Congress, today the Bush administration unsealed indictments for the editor and staff of the NY Times for sedition and treason.
Hey, I can dream!
