TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran test-fired dozens of missiles, including the Shahab-3 that can reach Israel, in military maneuvers Thursday that it said were aimed at putting a stop to the role of world powers in the Persian Gulf region.
The show of strength came as Iran remains locked in dispute with the West over its nuclear program, which Washington says is geared to producing atomic weapons but Tehran says is only for generating electricity. The maneuvers came three days after U.S.-led warships finished naval exercises in the Gulf that Iran branded as "adventurist."
State television reported that several kinds of missiles were tested, and broadcast footage of them being fired from mobile launchers.
"We want to show our deterrent and defensive power to trans-regional enemies, and we hope they will understand the message," the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi, said in a clear reference to the United States, Britain and France, who were among the six nations that took part in the Gulf maneuvers earlier this week.

I think too many pundits and liberals too for that matter have fallen for the DNC propaganda that Republicans somehow are not going to the polls next week, that they are going to abstain or vote libertarian in order to "punish" the party. Sorry, ain't gonna happen!

Looks like Iran is trying to scare us with this stunt
Everyone keeps saying that, "Israel will take care of this", watch out for Israel". I ask, have any of you looked at a map? Iran is a long way away from Tel Aviv, and IMO there are too many targets. I'll ask another question for all you armchair quarterbacks, how is Israel going to pull it off?

Possibly so. However, the first sign might be that Drudge and every other news outlet might be down. Silence would be a sign that it is time to check the Y2K stash once more and maybe beat the rush to the supermarket and gas station.
Nothing short of a nuclear strike on 20 or more targets would do that job.
