Maryland is on track to repeat the chaos of the 2000 election in Florida. Even without "butterfly" ballots and hanging chads, Maryland faces several elections-related problems that threaten the accuracy and promptness of Tuesday's results. Uncertainty looms about the state's electronic voter rolls, the number and training of poll workers, and anticipated challenges in the aftermath of Election Day.

" Anne Arundel County elections officials have reported that some voters are making multiple requests for absentee ballots, which could result in several ballots being mailed to them. "

Steele had better win big, or this one's going to Cardin if it ends up in the courts.

Marylands election will be in the courts for the next six months . 500 lawyers waiting to file charges , WOW , could end up looking worse than Floridas chad fest , I predict .

Yeah, I've been hearing for years from some of the premier moon bats, especially those who live in the suburbs adjacent to D.C. about the votng machine fraud conspiracy. They especially hate Steele and when he wins - and he will - they will use whatever means available to stage their uprising. Not getting Little Marty O'Malley into the governor's office will frost 'em, too.

IS there not a tracking system that would state whether a person was sent a ballot or not?

Unbelievable.

I think the states do this on purpose to throw the elections off track.

I thought in Michigan back in the '80s did its tracking when the ballots were received....you actually could request multiple absentee ballots....my memory could be failing though.
