Gang, this is my first truly national editorial. Thanks to the Sun for running it. This WILL affect the election, and is good for 1-2% at the polls.

I think the feds hanging Kerry in town square would be good for another 10 points.
Good work.

I would gladly hold a contest pitting any 10 American Army soldiers, randomly selected, against any 10 public school teachers on a standardized test. Yes me too, and I would love to see the results thereof.

I love the Sun. When I leave NYC for good, I'm going to have to find a way to have it delivered.

You know another thing that hasn't been broached - it's not an 'either/or' situation. Many people enter the armed forces and serve, and also go to college and earn degrees.
Kerry has a typical elitist mentality - he confuses being 'smart' with being 'educated.' If all I know about someone is that they are very well educated, that doesn't really tell me how smart they are, or if they are a quality person.

"I would gladly hold a contest pitting any 10 American Army soldiers, randomly selected, against any 10 public school teachers on a standardized test." I've been tempted, a time or two, to challenge ten teachers myself.
