You know this has to be genuine. I don't have to explain why.

The article doesn't mention the smile that was on that Army official's face.

Anybody got a picture of the sign?

Not to brag, but JeanS, and I got this on FreeRepublic (two separate threads) within seconds of each other (after Charlie mentioned it), multiple Freepers (myself included) sent it too Drudge, and the rest is history. Kudos to JeanS, whose thread became the dominate one.
Free Republic strikes again!!!

"...and it got much of the nation chuckling..." Chuckling? It was more like rolling on the floor in uncontrolled belly laughing...laughing at John Kerry and the Democrat scum that march with him.

I said it once, and I'll say it again - His "apology" has a Freudian gaffe in it as well.
...apologized "to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.
If this is to be taken literally, it would mean the service members and their families are NOT AMERICANS
Now normally I would not pick apart a statement such as this,(well, I would, but that's another thing entirely) but the gist of Kerry's whole schtick was that one should be well educated. Since the statement was written, not spoken, there was plenty of time to assure that it was exactly correct. Why use that particular phrasing when it could have been stated any number of ways?
And why just apologize to anyone who was offended? That implies that he believes what he said was correct - he is only acknowledging that it might have been offensive to some.

How much you want to bet that Kerry (or one of his cronies) is going to find out who those soldiers are, and they or their CO will get 'passed over' for their next promotion, or some other sort of punishment?
The viciousness of the Democrats knows no bounds...

By the end of the day, the shot was burning up the Internet - and was the most stinging rebuke to Kerry's knuckleheaded flub. This is the part of this whole thing that really infuriates me - that the DBM is trying to pass it off as a "flub". IT WASN'T A FLUB! Kerry said exactly what he intended to say, and meant exactly what it sounded like he meant - that the military is a bunch of slackers/losers/morons who are only in the military because they couldn't be Rhodes Scholars (or marry a couple of wealthy women to sponge off of).
John Kerry is and always has been the most pompous, arrogant, imbecile on the face of the earth.
