The Republican Party has had a good two days thanks to John Kerrys insulting remark about the intelligence and drive of our military in Iraq on Monday, and his ham-handed inability to apologize for it right away. Kerry gave the GOP a free day to bash him by refusing to directly apologize until Wednesday, and allowed Republicans to connect his ignorant comment (excuse me, botched joke) with a theme of Democratic weakness on national security, and lack of respect for the military. How much of an impact this will have on close Senate and House races is unknown, but it certainly tamped down a bit the talk of the tsunami wave that Charles Cook and other analysts seem to have bought into, hook ,line and sinker. In any case, yesterday marked the official date of death of any hope for John Kerry to appear again on a national ticket. Of course, only Kerry himself really held out any hope for this after November 2004, so the realist camp may have grown by only one.

I'm finally coming to the conclusion we may lose the House.
---
We only lose if Republicans and Conservatives stay home. The result is in our hands.
Once he quoted Charlie Cook, he lost all credibilty with me.
Don't fall for the BS.
Teddy, you are being brainwashed like the others. do not fall into the liberal media trap. Buck up and volunteer for GOTV.
I doubt John kerry's ignorance will help republicans much in the election. Howvere one thing does apepar to be true. I agree that this has finishd his chances for running for President again. Politically now he is a pariah and I dont think he can bring hiomself back from this. Hopefully now the people of Msssachusetts will WTF up.
Yaaawwwn. Losers like you always lose, DUmmie troll.
Yes but the media apologetic and spin machines are working double speed to make sure the Kerry Gaff is smoothed out and explained away.
I have heard more about the "Kerry apology" in the last 2 hours than I did about his troops are stupid statement in 2 days.
STOP watching and reading the MSM and drinking the poisoned koolade.
Yes, I've felt that way for several months now. Still not a certainly, of course, but my gut says we're looking at about a 15-20 seat loss. I would be most happy to be completely wrong. It definitely depends on turnout.
Right Dane, these types jump off the ship at the first sight of water.
STOP IT!!!!!!!
American Thinker is by no means part of the MSM (you dummy) and I am by no means a DUmmie troll - just hoping these House polls aren't accurate.
Vote and PRAY PRAY PRAY !!!
My Congressman Steve Buyer is on Fox now saying that this was NOT an apology, and reveals the contempt they have for the military. He is doing a very good job linking Kerry's statement to the elites of the west and est coast. Go Steve!
Regards, Ivan
Gee, and we always thought voting mattered. Score is still 0-0, get a grip! This guy has nothing to lose by going with the crowd.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I will keep the faith.
What difference does it make? We can't control the outcome. All we can do is what we'd do anyway, and let the chips fall. So let em fall.
God Bless Bray.
