Proof the Mainstream Media Is Left Wing
Fox News Corp. ^ | 11-1-06 | John Gibson's 'My Word'

I have long thought the mainstream media is decidedly left wing. Now there's proof.

The Center for Media and Public Affairs did an accounting of the network newscasts from September 5 thru October 22 and found an overwhelming liberal bias.

On the "Big Three" network newscasts, the audit showed a clear jihad against the Republican Party. Only 12 percent of election stories that aired on NBC, ABC, or CBS could be regarded as remotely "favorable" to Republicans.

In contrast, as The Washington Times put it this morning, "Democrats basked in glory." The study showed that 77 percent of news accounts in the six-week period offered favorable evaluations of Democratic candidates and lawmakers.

"They want to make sure the conservative argument is shouted down, buried and made entirely disreputable. They do it with coverage: story selection, interview selection, sound bite selection and snarky scripts, and lead the viewers to their network conclusions that were set in stone at the 9 a.m. meeting."

Liberal Media is political propaganda.

Government-funded Liberal Media is a disgrace to our republic.

We knew it. We know it.
Ain't gonna change.

Never been a level playing field.
But it has made us tough, and it has made them weak.
For they need to be propped up.

Any one of us can take on ten of them.

Now that we have that settled, is there any truth to this rumor about water being wet?

One only needed to watch the White House briefing today to see proof of partisanship. The press corps were angrily defending what John Kerry had to say insisting that it was Republican hypocrisy to call him on his gaffe.

To most of us this comes as no surprise. We have seen it for sure ever since the Reagan years. It is why I no longer take the Kansas City Star or watch the network news. Judging by the problems the major newspapers are having of late, many others have done the same as me. Talk radio and the Internet have set us all free.

The MSM is invested in the Dems getting back into power. I'm sure those sycophant journos in the DC area miss the extravagant leftist parties. The Dems must return to power or the MSM will actually have to start paying for all the alcohol they consume.

Old news and Gibson's singing to the choir, but it's nice to see anyway.

The thing that really cheezed em off, was Jo Kes little insult took their "stories" out of the headlines. Why this is time that they had planned to use with Foley gate, (only because Plame Wilson gate has been found to be pure facist witch hunting)!
Why with sKerry out front pouring gasoline on the Republican base, who will remember not to vote because we told them the Dims have already won, by a landslie?

While midterms typically garner only tepid interest from broadcasters, the networks have dramatically ramped up their coverage this time around, providing 167 stories during the study period. Only 35 stories had been aired during a comparable time in 2002.

hmmm

I can't wait to see how the media handles the coming revival, with the massive amount of miracles and judgment that will be taking place, directly by the hand of God, through his anointed ones.

Well, I have to say (with all candor) that if you are just now realizing that the media is "left wing", you are experiencing an awakening (while the rest of us wonder just what the heck you are experiencing). That's okay, we all went throught that phase, although most reached it a bit sooner... :^)

I betcha that if some of our troops had painted an anti-war, anti-Bush poster that the media would be crawling all over themseves to interview those "brilliant, educated, intelligent" G.I.'s.

No point in wasting costly news resources in tracking down a few soldiers and asking them how they feel about F'n Kerry's demeaning comments though.

I love it that our boys over there are so ingenuous as to shame our media into exposing and ridiculing the arrogant emptiness of John F. Kerry and the democrats with that classic poster. Not bad work for a bunch of 'yahoos'.

Now there's a surprise! They need to admit it themselves. Hiding behind "impartiality" is another MSM lie.

You're correct - there's no question the media is biased. Did this report assess how much of the bias is based on polling statistics versus bias based on nothing?
