A big part of the threat matrix is that the liberals are in a position to possibly capture one or both houses of congress. Terrorists and others who wish us the worst will be watching this election and will plan accordingly afterward.

In response to the assertion that the war in Iraq "created more terrorists":
The madrassas, training camps, sleeper cells, global financial network, intricate plots, terrorist manuals, etc., did not pop up overnight. The global war on the "infidel" has been in the works for decades. Just what were the thousands of men who went through the various training camps going to do? Sit around and wait for us? If I remember correctly, something like 20,000 men a year were being trained in Afghanistan and elsewhere. That's not a few disgruntled youths, that's an army.
Iraq or no Iraq, we'd already been targeted.
