I just finished reading the article and the illness is very suspicious indeed.
My personal opinion is that someone wnats to make it look, as if Putin/KGB is killing or trying to kill people. My reason for that opinion is that Putin and the KGB are EFFICIENT, and if they want someone dead, that person isn't going to linger, and just fall ill, that person dies within seconds. There are plenty of very efficient poisons they can get their hands on.
