If Talent wins, it looks like I nailed it...

Good morning. Sad day all around... Anyway, assuming the Senate is 49R/51D,you three nailed the final tally, and had all of the 7 races pegged correctly

Since there can only be one winner, the 2nd tie-breaker went into effect...

austinwillardwright- you nailed it, with a net cumulative difference of 0. Amazing... Alter- you were at -3, AntiGuv, you were at 5.

If this holds at 49/51, AWW- please freepmail me and we'll discuss how I'll get the money to you.

Thanks all for entering the contest.

I don't know who will win the contest, but I sure guessed wrong.

Totally shocked by the results.

Back to folding proteins and trying to save humanity.

That's unbelievable. You should submit this thread to one of the networks...you could be their new election analyst.

Thanks but it was pretty much a shot in the dark. I was lowballing the official polls because everyone else was so optimistic. I figured that I had a better chance if I broke from the pack. I had no idea that I was right! I haven't won anything since I was ten years old and got a free bike after finding an easter egg that someone else threw away!

$500 Cash was mailed to you today, in bubble wrap (so it's not too obvious). Enjoy. Again, awesome job of picking the contests!

I was surprised that you didn't enter this contest... You're usually pretty pragmatic and realistic, did you expect the final turnout to go D?

For the record, to all who played, I sent out the $500 to Austin Willard Wright immediately after the contest... In return, I had asked him to acknowledge, on this thread, that he did in fact receive the money, so as to keep my integrity intact with everyone else who played...

After repeated e-mails (all of which were ignored), he has refused to acknoledge it (not even a thank you!), except here, on another thread... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1741583/posts?page=29#29

Hate to say it, but next time I try to do something nice for others, I'll remember his being ungrateful and think twice.
