You know, there is a lesson in this. If we believe him, Kerry's hatred and contempt for George Bush led him to put a "joke" (more properly an outright insult) in a speech to college kids. He was so eager to put Bush down that he stumbled and instead made a fatal political mistake, attacking the troops instead.

When one is consumed by hatred, bad things happen. How often Scriptures tell us this in both the Commandments, Proverbs, and Jesus teachings. It was truly amazing to see this lesson lived out on television and the internet. I think Senator Kerry could learn a life-changing lesson from this, but I am not hopeful.
