*Today*, the spin is that *he* cancelled the support trips, himself.

Of course he is. He's been "psyched" and "owned" by Bush, Rove and other Pubbies the same way he was in 2003 and 2004. Just like then, even if in response to an unlooked for and otherwise unwelcome opportunity, they've "punched his buttons" and got him to "dance to their tune".

It's shocking that Kerry apparently learned nothing at all about how, and how easily, Bush and Rove got inside his skin and inside his head. It's pathetic that a human being is either too stupid to learn from such experience, or too lacking in self-control and detachment to apply what he's learned.

It would also be damn funny, in the case of a pompous ass like Kerry. That is if it weren't so damn frightening, even in retrospect, to realize how close this reflexively reactive imbecile came to being president. I mean if Bush and Rove could predict and provoke his over-the-top reactions that easily and play him for the fool, why couldn't Kim Jong Il, Hugo Chavez, UBL et al do the same?
