Is this a Red or Blue district ??? My thoughts - If this is a black & blue district, Corker's ads have backfired. If this is a red district, Ford's in trouble.

Long line at the early voting today. Big time red county.

In the last election cycle, the pundits claimed that early voting helped the GOP. Hard working GOP voters would not have to stand in line as long.

Bush Cheney - 61%

Kerry Edwards - 38%

90% White, 8% African American

It doesn't sound like a district where Ford Jr. would be expected to perform well.

In my opinion early voting is always good for Republicans. Democrats are too lazy to vote at all half the time much less vote early.

Long lines every day, 30 minute waits were common.

Retirees should go vote early to free up the polling places for working people on Election Day. This is also easier on the elderly, because they don't have to stand in long lines to vote. The last day for early voting in Texas is this Saturday.

I've noticed very heavy traffic every time I drive past the local early voting location in my FL district. I went to vote this morning and while I didn't have to wait, there were several people voting as well as a steady number of people finishing and arriving. This was at 10:15 in the morning in a VERY heavy republican district.

I voted on Monday and it was an hour and a quarter wait. This is a very Republican area. Don't forget we also have a constitutional amendment to vote on banning gay marriage.

"early voting" is dumb. "absentee" voting I understand.

Here in my heavily red county in NC, the early voting place has had constant lines out the door every day since it opened a week ago.
