Dear Senator:
I have recently been disturbed by the statement of Foreign Relations Committee member, Sen. Kerry that that people unable to succeed in the U.S. educational system would likely "get stuck in Iraq." However, I am please that Democratic Rep. Harold Ford, Montana Senate President Jon Tester (D), Democratic Rep. Ben Cardin. While Sen. Kerry has apologized for a botched joke, he has not recognized the deeply demoralizing effect his comments have on our forces deployed in foreign lands. Such lack of judgment should disqualify Sen. Kerry from further involvement in legislative matters involving foreign relations. I therefore call upon you to demand an unqualified apology from Sen. Kerry, or alternatively his resignation from the Foreign Relations Committee.

Let's get that title corrected too.
And as for stripping him of any committee assignments, that will happen when pigs fly.
The only thing we can possibly do is to ensure that he never becomes President, should he choose to run again.
No. http://armed-services.senate.gov/members.htm
NO HE DIDN'T !!!
He EXPLAINED that it was a botched joke and MADE NO APOLOGY FOR IT WHATSOEVER!
Sorry about the spelling
SHOULD READ: I therefore call upon you to demand an unqualified apology from Sen. Kerry AND HIS RESIGNATION FROM THE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE.
Go big or stay home, I say!!!!! : ^)
Just dropped an email into Sen. Lieberman. We'll see how far that goes.
Cheers!
Good for you! Thank you, Red!
Dear Senator Lugar:
Sen. Kerry's recent statement about our troops, who are in harm's way to protect his right to say such stupid things, makes me question whether he is mentally fit to sit on such an important committee as the Foreign Relations Committee. His comments are appalling to me, my friends, and virtually anyone who I've come in contact with in the past 48 hours. I think you and your colleagues, regardless of party, should demand an apology to the US troops, President Bush (for his clumsy attempt to deflect his responsibility for the statement), and the American people for his total lack of regard and responsibility for his statement and subsequent actions. Senator or not, he is not above responsibility for his actions and the voters look to you for responsible and corrective action.
I urge all of you to draft your own response, so it doesn't look "canned", to your own senator demanding Kerry make a formal apology.
Dear Senator Lugar
I am writing you in response to Senator John Kerry's comments Monday, October 30 while campaigning in California.
There is a small question in my mind that his "botched" joke was more about President Bush's intellect as it was about the quality of our service people. None-the-less, this "joke" can easily be taken as a negative comment about our airmen, soldiers, Marines and sailors.
In either case, politics or not, a member of your committee has a special role representing our foreign policy to the citizens and often to foreign dignitaries. I do not expect an opposition member to march "lock step" with the other side of the aisle. But I do expect that one conduct themselves with our best foot forward. Senator Kerry in his comments, at best, attempted to belittle the intellect of the Commander in Chief and (at worst), our armed forces. In both cases, this is irreprehensible and without class.
For those reasons I am requesting that the Senator's committee portfolio be taken away and he be placed on a less visible sub-committee reducing the risk of the Senator's in-ability to speak on foreign matters for the United States of America.

He DID NOT apologize. In fact he said he wasn't going to apologize to anyone! No repentance at all......Arrogant SOB!
Why doesn't Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton weigh in on this????
