Brilliant piece...typical of VDH. Too bad he isn't required reading. Perhaps someone can sue for equal access to the media and give him a front page spot in the NYT.

(4) This is not the first, but third, time he has denigrated soldiers in the middle of a war....

This was what I thought when I first read Kerry's remark. It's not the first time he's slandered the military. And probably not the last though, no doubt, he'll try to weasel out of it yet again whenever he does it.

Has Kerry ever had a real job, i.e., not working for the government? My Daddy told me never to trust a man who has never met a payroll. VDH was right...the only "success" Kerry has was marrying rich women. What a putz.

That this dark and negative man could even have been considered to be worthy of the Presidency is appalling!

Thanks to the person who emailed E. D. Hill moments ago, pointing out that if, as Kerry insisted, his ill-chosen words were intended to be a derogatory joke directed at the President (my words), then perhaps it is time for the media to focus on the fact that Kerry's GPA at Yale was lower than the President's. That may be an even worse gaffe on his part.

Thanks, also, to E. D. for reading the email on FoxNews!

Bet there'll be no such factual comparison of the learning performance records of Kerry & the President on the MSM.

Almost, but not quite.

what is it about George Bush that seems to reduce once sober and experienced liberal pros to infantile ranting?

Easy. He's a conservative who talks with a southern drawl. It's a visceral reaction from liberals. They LOVE a southern liberal--"Look, we educated one of those southern apes, and now he agrees with us!". They look at a Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter and laugh at how they fooled the yokels into voting for him just because he has a drawl and comes from south of the Mason-Dixon line. They know he is one of "them", and if that's what it takes to get the White House, they are ok with it.

But, tell them that their President, leader of the executive branch and commander in chief of the military is a southerner who talks like a Southerner, and thinks like most southerners do (i.e., is genuinely religious, patriotic and likes to follow the law as written), that makes them feel like the civil war is still on and they are losing. They will not accept being governed by the south and its mores. It's that simple.

Reagan, from Illinois and California, of midwestern and Irish stock, did not evoke the visceral hatred. They liked him in their hearts, even as they hated his wins over them and denigrated his policies.

It's primeval. It's subconscious. It's there for 2 more years. I say we send another southernor to the White House in '08, just to drive them even battier.

Here is my blog entry on Kerry:

As my Mama always used to say, "People don't change, they just grow more so...."

Jim%20in%20Iraq.jpg

My older Brother Jim is in the middle

This post is dedicated to my brother Jim, who after serving four years in the military, (including language training at DLI in Monterey), an LDS Mission to Brazil, four years at BYU, three years to get his Law Degree, and now as an attorney in the JAG corp of the Army, left his wife and three young sons for a year to serve in Iraq at the beginning of the war.

He was one of the "kids" the Democrats are always talking about bringing home....

John%20Kerry%20in%20Bunny%20Suit.jpg

John Kerry has not changed, he has just grown MORE SO.

John%20Kerry%20with%20Teltubbies.jpg

"It’s the gift that keeps on giving, even after an botched ‘apology’ for a botched joke: “”Of course, now Senator Kerry says he was just making a joke, and he botched it up. I guess we didn’t get the nuance. He was for the joke before he was against it.” — Dick Cheney

John%20Kerry%20goldigger%20extraordinaire.jpg

President Bush on Rush Limbaugh today: “Anybody who is in a position to serve this country ought to understand the consequences of words, and our troops deserve the full support of people in government.”

Purple%20finger%20freeping%20in%20denver.jpg

As I have said before at the Free Republic Web Site - if our soldiers can face down the terrorists, I guess we can street demonstrate against a few moonbats at the anti war rallies...

And as the Moonbattiest of them all...

John%20Kerry%20-%20Military%20hating%20intellectual.jpg

....why don't we collectively "demonstrate" against John Kerry and his party values when we vote next tuesday???

(7) His pathetic clarification, as he blamed everyone from Tony Snow to Rush Limbaugh, displayed the same Al Gore derangement syndrome, and thus raises a larger question: what is it about George Bush that seems to reduce once sober and experienced liberal pros to infantile ranting?

I would think David knows the real answer to this question.

Is he talking about Bush? The guy who still can't say nuclear?
