Kerry's Comments worse than you think
fox news ^ | 10-31-06 | fox news

Not only was Kerry's comments an insult to our military and their families, it was also a huge dig (unreported) at anyone who decides to forego college and enter the workplace out of high school. In effect, "Don't go to college, and your stupid." Doesn't look like the Democrat 2004 standard-bearer is working hard for the "working man," does it?

Sounds a bit elitist, doesn't it? Every Dem candidate should be asked to tell Kerry to apologize not only to soldiers, but to every blue-collor worker in America

Hey, hey that was my take on Kerry's lame explinaiton too. One way he looks mean spirited the other like a moron. Take your pick John Francois Fonda Keri, in truth you're both.

"Get a good education. Otherwise you will have to join a union and be a democrat."

Fair enough, but sometimes I wonder that if I had been a plumber I would have been paid better.

Sorry...that one GLARED, though...

...as did the subject-verb disagreement in the first sentence, and the discouraged spelling of "forgo"...

Having just contracted to have a bathroom remodeled and all fixtures replaced, I can assure you the answer is: yes.

Seems to me that Kerry went to college, then ended up in Vietnam. Hmmm.....

Kerry's not the only DemoRAT that thinks ill of the fine men and women of our Military. Harold Ford, JR thinks they are OIL COPS! BTW his only support for energy is ethenol..his enviro votes tend toward the green agenda.

Project Vote Smart

2001 Representative Ford supported the interests of the American Coalition for Ethanol 100 percent in 2001.

I caught that, too. I decided I'd better not push my luck. Someone is always waiting to go after anyone who points out a grammatical error on FR. LOL

Yeah, I saw that this morning. BOR - Bill O'Reilly for those not in the know - was real fair and balanced with two Dems. And isn't that funny that it is the Dems who continually talk about bringing back the draft. That would be a disaster.

My wife is a special ed. teacher. (Who is this "special Ed", and what does he wan't?) My kids has some neuro issues. So I've been conditioned to guess about what, analagously to Freud's usage, one might call the "neuropathology of everyday life".

It fascinates me that after years of typing on paper, when I started typing on-line, I developed what I jokingly call "finger dyslexia". Transpositions seem to happen WAY more often than they did.

And I know perfectly well the difference among the "to" words and between "your" and "you're", and "cats" and "cat's" and all that. And yet my fingers sometimes seem to have a mind of their own.

Yes, there are people who seem to think that apostrophes show that you care, like using "I" where "me" is natural and correct. But I really think that some of it is a little indicator about slips and glitches in communication between the cerebral cortex and the organs of verbal communication.

Uh, what were we talking about? Oh, Yeah. Kerry's a dope. How can you run for office if you can't tell a joke? It's overstating it, but it's like hypo-Aspberger's Syndrome. The guy is just socially ham-handed. He's a dork of the first water. Probably the only reason there's not a sex scandal is he couldn't get any woman to hold still long enough for him to misbehave ....

Hey, no problem. ;-)

My dumbass status was confirmed by Senator Kerry yesterday.

I wonder if I'll have to take more college courses before I can get out of Iraq now? LOL

Pesonally, I prefer discouraged spellings, uh, spellynges. Archaic is even better. I had a Limey mother and at least half of my childhood books were of the Limey persuasion. Consequently I can hardly spell at all. Honor/honour? Center/centre? etc.

I mean, who'd going to be boss, some pedant or my creative spirit?

Perhaps Kerry was just being nuanced in his remarks; still, I don't see whatever subtlety he intended.

I figured it out but it took some thinking. Like everyone else, and many there apparently, according to the Boston Globe, I took it as a slap at our military. I later came to see how he could think the 'getting stuck in Iraq' part was a reference to the President, not the military. In effect, if you don't get a good education, work hard and be successful, you may wind up like the President.

For a guy who's supposed to be nuanced, this is just plain careless and open for misinterpretation. If he's so nuanced, why didn't he realize this before he said it. Why didn't his writers? Why didn't his handlers?

No, I don't think anyone cared whether it was misinterpreted or not. If understood correctly, fine. If misinterpreted as a slap at the troops, fine. Either way, it's true Kerry. A royal scumbag and POS.

John Kerry said exactly what he meant when addressing that
crowd. Kerry is an elitist and considers many people beneath him. He left Vietnam after a few months after he
figured out how to get 3 Purple Hearts. Wounded? Hardly.
He came back to the United States and worked against his fellow soldiers that were still in combat. What he said yesterday was nothing compared to what he did to his fellow Vietnam veterans. He met with the enemey and worked with them for the defeat of America and South Vietnam and the success of Communism. What he said yesterday was the true John Kerry. Don't you know who he is and why don't we all just genuflect when he passes?

Funny how some of the more lackluster college students act like they're queen of the may when some of the more outstanding students like Bush (and maybe KAC? and a number of my college profs back before the PC sickness took over) think there's room for everybody in the world....and don't look down on people because of their training.

And most definitely don't look down on the people who insure we remain free!
