The basic truth of the situation is that John Kerry believes every word that he said. Why else do you think his former shipmates loathe him so much. He was, is and will remain a raving narcisist, who holds the rest of us in the same disdain as he does our troops (and, ipso facto, my son.
Moreover, he is an absolute hypocrite: he, Kerry, was a lousy student - with lower GPA and SAT (equivalent) than GW - who has no intellectual pretensions.
