The snide, hyper-elitism dripping from Kerry's words is arresting. But swirling beneath the surface of his comments is something deeper, something conservative critics have long identified and attacked among those they say belong to the "Blame America First" crowd, as former U.N. Ambassador Jeanne Kirkpatrick so artfully once put it.

Kerry is a preening fop who would be king - a la, I AM FRANCE, the Sun King. He believes himself to be a minor God with aspirations of true divinity. He is the penultimate ME junky from the only state in the union yearning to anoint royalty, again.
My disgust with this man is primordial. It emanates from my soul. My whole being trembles in rage over the purile ignobility of this man. He is - I dare not say it.

I am hoping that he opened the Pandora Box of election misgivings for the rats!
Kerry better hope Massachusetts re-elects him Senator next time around, because he blew his chances for just about any other job in America.
I think you're reading more into the word than is there. My dictionary uses the words 'ingenious' and 'crafty' in its definition of 'artful'. There's nothing regarding honesty mentioned in it.

Democrats hate America....its all out in the open now....
If America votes for democrats in this or in any election, America will suffer the consequences. And those consequences will be serious -- a degrading of America's military, a continued sale of America's security, an ever new assault on the income of actual working Americans, and, most serious of all, a severe set-back in the war on terror. As I've said in other posts, "democrats get other people killed!"
Somebody's probably already posted this but let me say it again, "John Kerry, the gift that keeps on giving" (to the GOP that is).
It is now obvious that Kerry has held the military in disdain for a long, long time -- even before he joined it.
Recall that photograph of Kerry and the other officers in his unit. As I recall, there were nineteen officers, aside from Kerry.
Of them, one supported Kerry's campaign, one was dead and the other seventeen were members of Swift Boats Veteran For Truth.
It's not hard to understand why.

What also disturbs me is that he is saying why would any intelligent person WANT to join the military.
Whatever happened to Uncle Sam Wants YOU........
After all, we are at war.
How much of that crap that he's wearing cost? Is it more or less than a month's worth of "whatever it shall be called".
There's one thing certain: when push gets to shoving...
I'm personaly not going to take that from him, but I'll tell you one thing: I have no clue where he's coming from.
Considering "Swiftboating" means revealing a truth about apolitician he would rather remain hidden, I think he did himself and teh Democrat party in yesterday and his refusal to apologize and spin his comment as a "botched joke" just digs him in deeper.
Kerry, time to choose your retirement home, You're done!
No wonder his fellow officers hated his guts.
