There's nothing in his remarks that state or imply that the military is good for a "step up".

The military was a step up for Kerry's colleague Fat Teddy Kennedy, after he got suspended from Harvard for having a friend ace a Spanish exam for him.

Kerry has always been a traitor to his brothers and country. He is only stating his obvious contempt.

Is there a comments section? I didn't see that! I'm gonna go look for it.

While I'm sure MSN has one somewhere, I was actually talking about Kerry's remarks about service people being lowbrow idiots. The quote is missing from the survey - it only says 'remarks' vs surveys about Republicans which would of course list the full remarks in question.

What SCUMBAGS they are at MSLSD....

They sugar coat it by saying the military has been good for people with less education so peoiple can say "YES" in support of Senator Scumbag. Kerry was clear that you shouldn't go into the military, it's for people who are stupid.

54%.

Better than 22,000 respondents. It's not the FR that's making these numbers move.

You know kerry messed up with a poll at pmsnbc going this way.
I agree, the poll will be taken down soon, or pmsnbc will manually skew it just to save dimocrat face.

"Yes; the military has long been a step up for those with less education. 31%

No; the comments implied that service members are not intelligent. 48%

They were misinterpreted or taken out of context. 20%"

This is absoblumalutely moronic or deceitful of msn (What did we expect?)!!! The first TWO answers require one to reply to that question, "Were Sen. John Kerry's remarks linking education to the war in Iraq appropriate?" as "No"!
So we have 31% who say the military has long been a step up for those with less education (hence, one can still "step up" even without a college degree, but if you enter the military without one, it can help you PAY for one!) ... PLUS 48% who say the comments implied that service members are not intelligent
= 79% who deduce that, therefore, Kerry's remarks were, at the least "inappropriate". Kerry is a dunce. msn likes him. What does that tell us- anything new here? Move along.

This is interesting, indeed.

MSNBC polls are notoriously weighted for the largely liberal nut crowd that is their only audience. This is amazing that the polls shows these results.

That stupid excuse amazed me, too. He clearly said what he said. Now if he mis-spoke, he needs to say 'sorry, that's not what i meant'.

30855 responses.

Wow -- in such a short time, too.

The people who serve in the military have more education than the general public!

That's been the case for everyone I've personally known who has joined the military.
