Wait, so you score on the 10-yard line and then celebrate and then the other team gets the ball? Thanks for the explanation but I'm still confused and obviously know nothing about football.

He means that they are celebrating the touchdown before they get it. Spiking at the 10 yard line is the same as fumbling the ball and the other teams recovers it.

OK, if you spike on the ten yard line (ie, if you celebrate too early), then you don't score and that would be a big screw up.....
