Well they aren't going to get one, we all know that. Bush shouldn't address Kerry directly, the Dems will jump on it and try and make it look like Bush is making a political issue over it. Let Kerry try and explain it away on his own, don't give him an out.
As Commander in Chief, Bush should respond to the insult on our troops. He should also call for Kerry's resignation.
It is KERRY, who made this political when he issued his non-apology!! He made it political when he said:
"I apologize to no one for my criticism of the President and his broken policy. If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology it is the President and his failed team."
"My statement yesterday, and the White House knows this full well, was a botched joke about the President and the President's people, not about the troops."
If anything, all Republicans should close ranks around the President.
As their commander and chief Bush has a responsibility to respond to Mr Kerry's remarks directly and forcefully. I think our troops deserver that.
It's time we talk back, too many times we've sat back & let them slam our President, I'm sick of it, Go GWB!
