Know what it reminds me of?
The 2nd presidential debate in 2004.
Kerry was leading in all the polls, Bush had flubbed the first debate, and the media was smelling blood.
Then Kerry dropped his snide remark about "Dick Cheney's daughter.......the lesbian". One could almost feel the collective gasp! from every sprout-eatin', tree-huggin', liberal mom in America.
It was perhaps the clumsiest remark I've ever heard a pol make. And then that twit Elizabeth Edwards compounded the damage by implying Lynne Cheney was ashamed of her daughter!
Try as they may, even his MSM pals couldn't turn that turd into rose water. I'm still convinced that was the nail in Kerry's coffin. It was one of those "window on the soul" moments...and many potential Kerry voters reallized they could never pull that lever.
Hopefully, this reminds them of how they knew then.
It was Edwards who made that remark I believe.
Kerry always finds a way to suck all of the oxygen right out of a room. But he has now done that to an entire congressional campaign.
Wonder what he's doin' tonight?
Brit Hume just asked him panel if this would have any effect on the elections next week..
Mort Kondrake said NO>..but it sure would hurt Kerry's chances of running for POTUS again...
Naturally it SHOULD to the second...but I am praying that the MEDIA doesn't just let this go.
If Sissy Chrissy Matthews can get 3 weeks worth of "dirt" out of the Foley thing...this should be able to last on week.
