The only difference between John Kerry and a bag of manure is the bag.

Kiss my butt John Kerry.

This is the worst nightmare of the phony conservative (D) candidates, who had better be playing "Kerry who?"

Vote like a pirate, vote (R).

Well, Kerry found him stuck in Viet Nam. If he hadn't managed to get himself sh*tcanned off that destroyer he would have never set foot in Nam.

This week I learned from the Democrats that veterans are stupid amd Republicans don't love Jesus. Kerry is just another careless talker. He's got a deadly mouth.

CNN:

Bush is attacking Kerry.

Bush is going after Kerry.

Bush is trying to rally the base by attacks on John Kerry.

[Does anyone notice a pattern?]

"Senator Kerry, if you meant what you said, that is beyond offensive you should stand up like a man and apoligize to the fine soldiers, sailors and airmen who defend our great nation"

"If you meant that if you DON'T do well in school, that you will end up like me, well, I graduated from Yale, then obtained my MBA from Harvard, and am currently the President of the United States. Personally, I think I have done pretty well, and the American people must think so, too, because they re-elected me to a second term as President instead of voting for you." - George W. Bush

If I were Bush, I'd start my response by running a tape of Kerry's 1971 statement before Congress.

Thinking this one through, at first glance one would want the President to stay above this, but quickly realizing that the MSM meme tonight will be to prop up Kerry (given what Lurch did is incredibly damaging to the DUm mid-term pogrom); if Bush points out Lurch's mendacity, at least they'll give up space for 10 seconds or so of "refute", even if the entire piece is slanted towards Kerry. But it had better be succinct and to the point.

Guessing here that Rove has come up with a memorable zinger he can't resist using. Fine by me.

Mister Kerry has insulted everyone currently in uniform (including my Marine daughter) and literally every veteran (including me).

We vets are a pretty tough bunch. We've been insulted before. As truly offensive Mister Kerry is, we're not figuratively "wounded"

However, it's instructive just how Mister Kerry really feels about his alleged "Band of brothers".

As a side note, guess how most folks in uniform will be voting next week?

CNN:

Some DEM strategists are telling the Dems and Kerry to just sit down and STFU, as this furor is hurting Dems.

Carville is claiming Kerry's excuse that it was a botched joke.

Buchanan said, if so, then why didn't Kerry correct it yesterday, instead of waiting until today -- after the furor erupted.

CNN polling shows Corker up nearly 8 points over Ford in TN, but Allen losing by about 5 in VA. Talent and McCaskill tied, too close to call, 49% to 49%.

From Max Cleland, in a press release sent out by Kerry's office:

I think people will remember John Kerry's press conference today as the moment we Democrats stopped once and forever accepting the disgraceful smears of Republicans. John Kerry showed our Party how to fight back with the truth…

John Kerry should apologize to no one for his criticism of the President and his broken policy in Iraq. George Bush is the one who owes our troops an apology. This is text book Republican campaign tactics.

And from a statement sent out by the Bob Corker campaign, becoming one of the first to try to hang Kerry around the neck of Democratic candidates:

The Corker for Senate campaign today called on Washington Congressman Harold Ford to either defend or denounce U.S. Senator John Kerry’s comment denigrating U.S. troops considering the fact he served as a National Co-Chair for the Massachusetts liberal’s 2004 presidential campaign, and because Ford just took $900,000 from the Democrat campaign committees – courtesy of a transfer from Kerry and his colleague, Senator Ted Kennedy.

“Bob Corker rejects John Kerry’s outrageous comments belittling the intelligence of our troops in Iraq, and Harold Ford’s silence on this matter leaves one to conclude he’s siding with Kerry,” charged Todd Womack, the Corker campaign Communications Director. “As one of Kerry’s strongest supporters in 2004, and having just taken Kerry’s campaign money to prop up his faltering candidacy, he has an obligation to speak out.”

Well I hope so. Not only the despicable comments about the greatest military in the world, but the inflammatory personal remarks Kerry made about our President. Kerry had no idea Bush would actually make a response when he loud-mouthed this today. Kerry should be sweating about now. Wonder how many calls he has received?
