If Rush was a Democrat saying this on NPR or Air America .. many in the media wouldn't have said a thing Exactly. If he were a liberal he would actually be given extra moral stature as a "victim" of drug addiction. Seems part of being conservative is to reject such status, which in turn makes liberals very uneasy about you. People who don't pull cop-outs concerning moral responsibility scare liberals to their core.

If Rush were a Dim and criticizing Pubs and Pub supporters, I would at least expect Katie Carwreck to come on CBS Evenings News with startling new revelations and "official" letters and memos that prove everytyhing. Just imagine something like that happening. Oh, wait... :)
