I just wish that my ATM machine would withdrawal funds from the banks own account instead of mine if it isn't calibrated often enough. Funny that they do countless millions of transactions every day without a hiccup when money is at stake. I think we should just all vote at our banks, put your bank card in and hit the "Fast Cash $40" button to vote for Republicans and "Make a Deposit" for the Dems....

I'm afraid my deposit for the dems would - ahem - "gum up" the machine! ;-P

I disagree that e-voting makes elections harder to fix. It just makes it different.

People who have committed election fraud in the past will continue to do it in the future. And, when they figure out how to do it with computers, it will be possible for them to do it faster and on a larger scale with minimal chance of being detected and with no evidence left behind.

I've worked with computer systems for 25 years. My BS meter is twitching.

Unfortunately this is no BS. For several years I developed software for touchscreen based control systems and calibration is a recurring problem.

In Chicago, Illegals ARE ALLOWED to vote for the Local School Councils. And these illegals are mostly Mexicans.

It started a few years ago, around 1998 or 99. They found that in many neighborhoods there were not enough US Citizens living within a school's boundaries with kids in the local school to run for a seat.

Thanks for your informative reply. Of course I was joking. My city uses a bubble sheet and scanner system (you put your filled-out sheet straight into the tabulating machine at the voting center, and get to see the voter count increment on the display). It isn't fully automated, and though it isn't as fun as the old lever voting machines we used to use, it is probably much more efficient.
