Bush: 'Democrats Haven't Won Anything Yet'

STATESBORO, Ga. — President Bush, faced with dire poll predictions for next Tuesday's elections, boldly told Georgia voters Monday that the Democrats haven't won anything yet.

"You know what I know — this election is far from over," Bush told a Republican rally at Georgia Southern University, campaigning for House candidate Max Burns.

Bush mocked talk of Democrats already considering which offices they'll take if they win control of Congress.

"You might remember that about this time in 2004, some of them were picking out their new offices in the West Wing," Bush said of his own re-election bid. "The movers never got the call."

'Democrats Haven't Won Anything Yet'

While undoubtedly true, that sort of phrasing always makes the speaker sound like they're about to be defeated.

That's the glass half-empty view. The glass half-full view is, "...and they're not going to win anything, either."

I was on a small bboard and the liberals there are already saying if they don't take control of House and/or Senate then it's becuase we'll have stolen the elections again.

I laugh and ask them if they figured out how we've done it yet.

judging from the audio of the speech he didn't seem to be talking like someone who thinks he's going to be defeated. That was just an extrapolated phrase to make a headline.

Sorry, Milquetoast, but I prefer that a leader speak boldly of victory.

That's exactly why the MSM is putting the stories out now. To raise up the cries of "Fraud" when the Rats go down.

While the President is out rallying his voters, the Democrats are looking at fabric swatches.

There are a lot of people who are going to be very surprised on November 8. The line of people who are going to have to come tell me I was right is going to stretch out the door and around the corner.

Yes, the whole speech in its entirety was fine. I was specifically noting that the sort of phrasing they chose for the headline tends to sound weak. Probably why they chose it.

Yes, you noted that twice now. Sort of the internet form of stuttering.

Hey, I've got a great idea for you! Why don't you try telling me I sound like a Democrat again? That would be cool!

Dems, celebrating in the endzone from their own 20.

I hope they look like the Panthers bench last night.

"Dems, celebrating in the endzone from their own 20."

And that is why the "blue" states are becoming more and more "purple" all the time.

Some day, they shall wake up and find the landscape has turned "red".

That would be fine by me. I am looking forward to Minnesota becoming a Red State. But, we still have way to many Libs even though the numbers are dwindling.
