Speculation -- someone from the center/left -- political or Hollywood -- Bill Cosby? just hazarding a guess. Oprah would be sensational, since she got her start in Baltimore.

I hate to be so out of touch but I don't get it. What is a Senate candidate running the race of his life doing sidetracking his campaign to make an "endorsement".

May be a blockbuster announcement but, right now, I don't get it

Tongue in cheek - would be great if the endorsement were from Joe Lieberman

So did I read it wrong - is someone endorsing him?

Makes more sense but the headline makes it sound like he is endorsing someone

I suggest it will be celebrity endorsement of Steele, not Steele endorsing someone.

If it's Bill Cosby, that would be outstanding.

Steele is not making an endorsement, he is announcing a major endorsement of his own candidacy. Ugh, very newsworthy and speculation that it might make national news tonight, as well.

I kind of hope it is some representation of scientists and physicians researching genetic cures.

Cosby was here in Laughlin last night, I'd be surprised if he shows up in Baltimore today. Saw his show...VERY disappointed. He just wasn't very funny. Maybe he was tired.

Would former Governor Schafer (Dem) have any impact?

I was out this morning and saw the SteeleMobile heading West of Rt. 50 west of Annapolis....

Not sure what the significance of Largo would be.

My guess is it is going to be Wayne Curry, former county exective of Prince George's County. Curry is the leading black politician in PGC who has not endorsed anyone yet. He is still very popular. This endorsement might not seem big to people outside of Maryland, but it would be huge for Steele. Curry was the guy most black leaders wanted on the Democrat ticket for Lt. Gov. in 2002, but he was passed over for a former Republican military retiree who nobody had even heard of. Blacks, especially those in PG County, were furious. Really bad move by the Dems that probably cost them the governor's race and made Mike Steele Lt. Governor. Now Steele has become their worst nightmare.

I laughed out-loud when I read that. I don't know why I think that is so funny but I do.
