I am so very sorry for this senseless murder. My heart goes out to you and the Hollis family. May God hold Conrad in His hands. I know there are no words I can ever say to ease the pain for his family or your family. I can just pray for all of you. I hope the murderer is caught and that these senseless shootings stop. I don't understand why people kill like this. I just wish there was more I could say to you. God Bless Conrad and all of the people who loved him.

Furious, thank you for speaking out and for what you are doing for the family, every decent American should feel just as angry as you.

May Conrad Hollis Rest In Peace and God Bless his family.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you and the family of Conrad Hollis. Several of us on this forum understand too well the pain and suffering all of you are going through at the moment. We would not wish this on our worst enemy . . .

Take whatever comfort you can in the knowledge that most on this forum consider Conrad Hollis an American Hero.

Furious,

I am so sorry to hear of Conrad's loss. It has been my privilege to stand in honor of our fallen heroes more times than I would care to remember, but would do so in a heartbeat if I was even somewhat close.

Please take comfort in our prayers. You cannot have better people to stand with at this sad time than the PGR

My thoughts and prayers will be with Conrad and all of his friends and family

NerdDad & StarCMC: thanks for stepping up. you guys make PGR proud.

FIC
Welcome to FR. I'm in Columbus. It was so sad to meeting the family tonight. They are an amazing family. My wife and I will be among the Patriot Guard Riders holding the flags at the church tomorrow. You will know this FReeper when you see him. Please stop and let us give you a hug.

WHY?? There simply isn't a WHY in this gut wrenching absurdity. I have repeatedly questioned how stupid it is that this bonafide American Hero spent a year doing one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, only to be killed by some scum in this senseless manner.

It is important to keep this murder in the public eye and to keep the pressure on the authorities. But you have to be careful not to do a disservice to Conrad's memory by allowing that kind of anger to consume you.

We are here for you. This thing called Free Republic is an astounding group and will overwhelm you with support. You and the family and all of Conrad's friends are in our prayers.

I'm so very, very sorry for your loss.
It just doesn't make any sense, does it?
Please know that you the Hollis family will be lifted in prayer...
We are PGR back East, thanks to Star..
It is the most significant thing I have ever done..
I'm furious right along with you...and brokenhearted, too.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your neighbor. Mere words can never do justice in supporting you and yours in your grief; they do even less for the grief that his parents are dealing with.

Prayers for Conrad, his family and yours have already been sent.

It took me a day to decompress enough to put my thoughts into words but I finally got it done. After Action Report is posted on the PGR Forum.

I talked about you over here in my After Action Report:
http://www.patriotguard.org/Forums/tabid/61/postid/286544/view/topic/Default.aspx

Everyone loved the gloves that you sent and told me to be sure to let you know how much they were appreciated. It was a cold and windy morning and almost all of us on the line holding the flags had on the gloves you sent. And every rider that I saw leaving after the service was wearing a pair.

CDBear and I are going to attend a meet and greet on the 18th where we will get to meet the national director of the Patriot Guard Riders. I will be sure to put a pair of gloves in his hands and the hands of our state captain as well.
