While faux-conservative Democratic candidates like Harold Ford (lifetime ACU: 19) declare repeatedly in public their love for Jesus Christ (a "Jesus-loving, gun-supporting believer," Ford said yesterday), let's remember how the folks at NBC greeted Bush's embrace of Jesus as a philosopher at the dawn of 2000. From our newsletter Notable Quotables, recall how they freaked out on behalf of every religious minority in America:

When liberals invoke Christianity, the DBM assumes that they don't really mean it, because the DBM knows that liberals lie to get elected.
When conservatives invoke Christianity, the DBM goes into full panic mode, because they know that conservatives really believe in God, and they freak out at the thought that it might be true.
That's different. Ford is a Democrat, you see . . .
The term, "Jesus Loving democRATs"....people who love to promote abortion of unborn children....to help promote stem cell research which is unproven....helping to remove signs of christianity(ACLU)....helping the enemies of Freedom....supporting democratic socialists progressive caucas....giving aid and comfort to our enemies....believing EVERYthing that is fed to them via the television....wanting our enemies to win....supporting head chopping off islamofacists....Sorry but the term does seem sort of hyprocritical.

The Drive-By Media knows that when a Democrat professes faith in Jesus, he is most-likely lying. When a Republican professes faith in Jesus, he is most-likely telling the truth. Big difference. To the left, it is perfectably acceptable to lie, but anathema to be a Christian.
Chris Wallace said that Ford was pro-life. I hadn't heard that. Is it true?
