This is a pretty meaningless list. "Only cities that release crime stats are included." Chicago is a pretty big city to leave out altogether. So you have a bunch of cities that no one has ever heard of (Brick, New Jersey?!) at both ends of the scale, and not a single city from a large state (Illinois) makes a list of 300.

Yes, that struck me as strange too. They've obviously made no adjustements for size. I wouldn't even think of Brick as a city, more like a town, although it may be legally a city.

Maybe they should call it most/least dangerous municipalities.

Hey I am from Brick NJ. We have been in the top safest list for awhile now. Maybe you havn't heard of Brick because it is safe. Reillygirl246 is from Brick too. Guess your city or town didn't make the list huh?
