Bush's biggest foreign policy in the Middle East has been to allow Syria to play the role of the spoiler. I cannot understand why they have not at least mounted covert action against the Alawite Baathist regime in Syria. How we could allow this weak-minded and weak leader to thwart so much of our policies is beyond me. He's aided and abetted those who kill Jews, Lebanese, Iraqis, and Americans. And we refuse to even call him on it.
