It couldn't happen to a nicer guy (Sorkin). It also looks as though The Curse of Peet continues. Seemingly, any TV show/movie she's associated with tanks.
I'm cursed!

Thou shalt not bash Christians and expect high ratings in the heartland.

CBS had a short-lived series about a professional burglar called "Smith." I missed the first show, saw the second show twice...

I don't watch TV so I can't remember where I saw a trailer for this show (probably in the break room at work) but, it looked so incredibly stupid that I actually remembered the name.

Here is my assessment of the show. It's 100 times better then 30 Rock. How is that for a ringing endorsement ?

The previews of it looked great and I was looking forward to watching it. I didn't even make it through the first episode. It was horrible.

Too bad. It is a good concept with a lot of possibilities. I've enjoyed it. The acting is crisp and the storylines are unique. The Long Tail strikes again.

Once, the networks produced Playhouse 90,The Honeymooners, Perry Mason and MASH.
Today, the best they can come up with is Survivor.
The networks lost me as a viewer 20 years ago.I can't,for the life of me,see how they could ever win me back.

I noticed the reviewer endorsed Brothers and Sisters. As of last week I'm done watching that show, don't need to watch any gay angst. I thought that was over after Ellen's show.

Haven't seen it. It was touted as " must see " , " smart " , etc.. blah blah blah..
I did watch SKELETONS ON THE SAHARA last night on the History Channel.
One heck of a story.

Maybe NBC can replace it with The Book of Daniel.
Isn't Geena Davis available, too?

If you're looking for a guy guaranteed to help your show jump the shark, Ted McGinley is your man. He's been on at least two Aaron Sorkin shows--Sports Night and West Wing--and he has a long history of signalling the end of the line. Looks like he didn't even get a chance to help put this one in its grave.

I watched one night of this show. I waited...and waited for something - anything - interesting, or funny to happen.
There was nothing worth watching. A bunch of character talking to each other very quickly because they were trying to beat deadlines. One character pining over the female comedian - boring.
Everything about the show was boring.
I don't think cancellation had anything to do with christian bashing - other shows have done that and succeeded - but those shows were interesting.
This was a big boring turkey of a show.

We watched the first couple episodes. Thought it might be good, but it got as usual per Sorkin, way to politically preachy.
Good Riddance.

No one cares whether a bunch of over caffeinated, well off yuppies, some with expensive drug habits, put on a weekly comedy sketch show from Los Angeles.that was part of the problem - the show also tried too hard to make us care by showing us the good, decent human side of these Hollywood people. Not enough of the rotten, self-absorbed side of Hollywood we've come to know and love.

maybe they will finally put Crossing Jordan on the schedule... i've been waiting for the season opener since last May!
To: edpc
hope that anything that sorkin touches is canceled asap!
amanda peet is good looking but could not hold this crap together!
after all...this show is trying to stuff 10 lbs of shi-ite in a 5 lbs bag....and the sell it to the public!!!!
who do they think they are....the lib/dem party????

I watched the first episode. Sorkin wrote in a character (based on himself) whose cocaine addiction was portrayed as a noble pursuit of truth in a corrupt world. He also had a female TV exec whose ability to outsmart money-grubbing capitalists was only surpassed by her compassionate heart. "Hip, cool and witty" dialogue abounded.
Click.

I saw this show ONCE and it wasn't terrible, it was just...mediocre. Mediocre isn't enough these days. Apparently the payroll was so high, it had to be great. Boo hoo hoo.
