Australia 'a nuclear threat' (says Senate nominee Harold Ford, Jr.)
The Australian ^ | October 28, 2006 | Geoff Elliott

Posted on 10/28/2006 9:38:13 PM PDT by Clintonfatigued

HAROLD Ford, a handsome 36-year-old from Tennessee, has become one of the sensations of the mid-term elections in the US and a reason why Democrats are a good chance of winning back control of the US Congress for the first time in 12 years.

But if Mr Ford, already a US congressman, wins his bid to become a more powerful senator, Australia had better watch out.

Because according to Mr Ford, Australia has an interest in nuclear weapons and is part of the broader nuclear threat to the US.

I don't know about you, but my vote is behind the candidate that will nuke those Foster's-making sumbitches into the Cretaceous Period. Hell, they probably play cricket and soccer. Boy howdy.

I risked my upset stomach tonight to watch the Senate debate. Junior was patronizing to audience members and looked a bit zombie-ish, at least at the start. Many of the questions were loaded ones, and Corker didn't have the chance to respond fully, though he got off at least a few zingers (on Junior's lack of real-life business experience -- "How many people have you employed outside of Government, Mr. Ford ?").

Junior also kept repeating the falsehood that the Senate has been consistently GOP since he was elected, as we all know, one point he referenced the GOP being in charge during 9/11/2001. Daschle and his group of bums was running the Senate then, which Corker didn't have a chance to remind the viewers of (we've only had the Senate for 4 straight years).

Being that it was held at Vanderbilt, the crowd was more for Junior and better than half chanted his name after it was over. I think Corker came off better, but some might think it was a draw.

Very well put. These very same views were expressed by Jonjayray a short time ago. I think it was on Dissectleft.com. I think your analysis is on the mark, and the poster who compared France to Australia also showed us all a fine comparison of "Blue State"----"Red State".

Crikey! Them Yanks discovered the secret. But we'll allow a few secrets to pass onto this Mr. Ford character.

1. Steve Irwin and Crocodile Dundee...were actually Aussie special forces personnel who were taking secret nuclear information out of America back to the Outback.

2. Rummy actually knew about this nuclear technology transfer and wanted to put them on the "axis of evil" list...but Laura Bush stood by the Aussies...thereby forcing GW to make a decision over who to trust (Laura won, if you want to know).

3. Cheney spends most of his time at a Perth nuclear testing facility and is a registered nuclear scientist by trade although this is kept secret from the New York Times, thus no one in America knows.

4. Finally, let it be known....our arch enemy....New Zealand....is the reason for the buildup of nuclear weapons. We've want to take them out of action ever since they went liberal.

Please make Mr. Ford aware of our Aussie secrets. Our ambitions are grand and widespread, and our influence over the American wussie government is deeper than you think. We will eventually be prepared to take these folks on. Our final agenda, if no one has figured it out....is to bring Fosters Lager to every American bar/pub/tavaran...so Mr. Ford is correct...we are a serious threat and should be respected.

Dear Aussies,

Trust us we will not let some Quisling Quasimodo sack affect our support or friendship for Australia, New Zealand, Britain Poland (do I really need to mention our hippie cousins to the North, still a cousin lol). Oh rearm yourselves and keep beating hell, throwing out 7th Century degenerates who think Aussie women are theirs for the raping.

Ford is an idiot.

I'll say this, Australia is as true an ally to America as we could hope for, and if perchance the officer who carries the nuclear codes for President Bush (the "football") were to accidentally leave them in the hands of Prime Minister John Howard?

I wouldn't lose a moment's sleep. They would be in good hands.

However, the mere fact that Australia possesses vegemite in large quantities suggests that they already have a vast chemical-biological weapons capability, LOL
