I wouldn't worry too much.

This whole thing is cooked up by the media and the libs to try to demoralize and drive down the turnout.

I do not personally know anyone who is changing their voting patterns on the basis of what CBS or any other media outlet is saying.

As the POW's used to say...Keep a steady strain!

Scaring me with the boogeman is the best the GOP can do? IOW, "We suck less than the democrats." Thanks, I'll pass.

Sorry, stud, but until or unless you can show me a POSITIVE reason for voting for a Rat-Lite, it ain't gonna happen. I would not vote for a real Rat, why do you want me to vote Rat-lite? None of the things on the Conservative agenda are under any SERIOUS consideration and FedGov is growing like Topsy... so exactly WHAT has changed under the Rat-Lite party? And why would any rational being want more of the same? (note: Scare tactics are NOT a valid argument, OK?)

In races here in Cali, I do plan to vote Tom McClintock for LtGov, not because he's (R) but because he's (C)onservative and has the record to show it. He's the only one, though.

I'm going to vote all R, but make no mistake, I don't think they deserve my vote this year. They led the spending spree, they have sat idly on their hands regarding the illegal immigration issue, they clam up when the discussion turns to Iraq, and they have walked away from the Conservative precepts.

The grassroots is mad, and Republicans in both houses take our votes for granted, as the Dems do the Black vote. The question is: if they retain the Houses, will they continue to take our concerns for granted? If so, in the election of '08, we'll lose it all.

I do believe that Thomas Sowell said it best: "In general, Democrats are the only real reason to vote for Republicans. When it comes to national security and the war on terrorism, that is a big reason."

The "stay at homers" would rather "punish" republicans who don't vote exactly the way they want and have a communist country run by democrats. You'll never change their minds. Communism seems to be the up and coming rage.

Your passion for your party is admirable.

But just keep a couple of things in mind.

1. the chance of the democrats takein over control of either the House or Senate is remote. The chance of the democrats taking over control of BOTH is astronomical.

2. Most of the "nightmare scenario" actions that are typically predicted can only happen with the approval of president bush.

So, don't stress out! The republicans will be safely in control of the House, The Senate, and the WH come November 8th.

Here we go again, denigrating and hassling conservatives.

Stop nagging us like Andy Capp's wife, OK? We're going to vote Republican, we may hold our nose or curse under our breath but we're going to be at the polling booths nonetheless.

I'm just tired of the polls, the vanities screaming "VOTE VOTE VOTE" conservatives being called cut-and-run conservatives, etc. Newsflash: The GOP has to earn our vote. Although I'll be out there voting for the Republicans (and holding my nose and cursing under my breath, I might add) if other conservativs choose to stay home I really can't blame them.

Nice rant.

You make a few salient points.

However, the eye is drawn away from the message
by the numerous punctuation errors. This isn't high school text messaging, you know.

make no mistake your unenthusiastic view

Needs a comma.

destruction as a preventative to attack the new Terror war will result

Needs a comma.

Instead of Bush being a post 911 hero the MSM and liberals will ensure

Needs a comma.

Sponsor a new amendment to the constitution one that instills homosexual marriage

Needs a comma.

How old are you?

You see, the literate eye will be drawn to the errors and will tend to ignore the content.

I'm just saying.

I would like to add that it is a mortal sin to vote for a Democrat.

Also, if you stay home and do not vote, that is a sin of omission.

Any thinking voter doesn't give a hoot about polls. If they do, they're too stooopid to vote anyhow.

When I see polls around here, this is my response:

You're right. We shouldn't let the Democrats do that. Our very own RINOs are doing each and every one of those very things juuuuuust fine.

Just be gentle with those knives. My back is running out of room.

For ALL of those who are thinking of sitting out the election. Go back and listen to Zell Millers speech to the 2004 GOP convention and remember WHY we vote.

Scroll down and look for Zell Miller on the left hand side.

You have done a better job of clarifying the Democrat platform than they have.

The truth is, however, I think the GOP is more fired up than the msm would have you believe. While apathetic and underinformed Americans may turn out to the polls once every four or eight years to take a whack at the Presidential election, midterms usually just stir up informed voters and solid citizen types who have a good grasp of the issues at stake and understand that progress or even the status quo is better than backsliding. That is why GOP GOTV efforts are the best in the country. We have the most informed voters as well as the most people committed to doing the tough work.

Those advocating staying home generally fall into three camps: Democrat/liberal demoralization crews, Third-party advocates looking to build their power base, and people who vote based on perception and emotion rather than evidence and long-term strategic goals.

The first two groups are lost causes, but we all occasionally fall into the last group and your post does a great job of bringing us around to the real stakes in this election. Thanks for the reminder.

Man, you are so full of it I don't know where to begin but your braying about the end of the world as we know it is about as silly as silly can be. Just so you know: I was around when Jimmy Carter was President and we survived him.

Ted Kennedy has been a Senator for all of my adult life, I've survived him.

I bought my first house when Ronald Reagan was President. I got a VA mortgage at 12.5%. Not only did I survive it, I paid it off early.

I survived with Tip O'Neill as Speaker of the house, Thurgood Marshall as a Supreme Court Justice, Maya Angelou as national poet laureate or whatever she was.

My best wage earning years were during the Clinton administration. My worst were during the GW Bush administration. Neither one of them had anything to do with it.

A big deal used to be made about the Democratic Plantation. You don't hear that as much anymore because the Republicans decided that owning a plantation wasn't such a bad idea after all, they just have different slaves tilling their fields.

If the Republicans lose the House and Senate, even if they lose the Presidency I won't lose any sleep over it. If they do it won't be my fault so please quit writing about as if it would be. It would be their fault for abandoning everything that got them elected in the first place. I'm not staying home on election day but I have no quarrel with the people who do. They have every right to be disgusted with what is happening to their party.

g. Implement laws for the Fairness doctrine which of course will require liberal media coverage including talk radio and TV for any opposition point of view.

Your heart might be in the right place, but your priorities are backwards. You value entertainment, I could care less about talk radio and haven't had a TV since 1999. OTOH, I own 25 round magazines that the democrats would like to ban again.

I was telephone polled the other day. When asked if I was satisfied or not with Bush's job I said I was mostly dissatisfied. Does that mean I will vote for Democrats? You have to be fricking joking. Just because Bush's poll numbers are down, does not mean conservatives will vote liberal. All this is a MSM plot to lower turn out. Period!!
