PingThe Weekend Talk Show Preview Thread is up
If you would like on or off my ping list please Freepmail me
See the initial post for my "usual witty commentary." Some excerpts:
It's the last two weekends of campaign '06 and all pretense (and restraint) has been abandoned. The reliable hard left old media is pulling out every stop and ignoring even the simplest of ethical consideration in their all out commitment to defeat Republicans and elect Democrats....
This week they're no longer touting the polls because even their own stilted polls are trending the "wrong way" from their point of view. They're instead concentrating on three main themes: it's a done deal, why fight; if the Democrats don't win it's because the Republicans cheated / are racists; Republicans are evil, by definition....
So, the gloves are off and the agenda is clear. The Dhimmicrats and their allies in the DBM will do anything, say anything, tell any lie, ignore any ethical boundaries, so long as it gets power back for the "right party (the leftist one)." ...
Well, it's only about ten days till the opening law suit of the post election day election process. I wonder who it will be and when it will be decided? ...

a barn burner debate. Tim Russert and Ben Cardin versus Michael Steele.LOL. I'm laughing already and I've only gotten this far.
I don't know if you saw the interview by Russert of Mehlman over the Ford ad, but it was a mind boggling thing. Russert keeps insisting that the ad is racist and Mehlman (like me)keeps saying he doesn't see anything racist about it. But Russert has his action line, so he just keeps hammering.
Imus and his guests have been opining for weeks that Ford is such a wonderful candidate that the only reason he will lose is because of those redneck Tennessee racists. It certainly can't be because the whole family is a crime syndicate.

I suspose they'll be harping the 'racist' line (that's what they do when they don't have anything else to say), but, from what I've read, the only thing they could consider racist is that it was a white woman who partied w him at the Playboy party and said call me. Of course, they would have yelled racist had it been a black woman.
If that's in fact what they were thinking, then, his previous dating history debuncts that:

"I repeat my prediction that the Dims won't take both chambers, not even the House by itself, and that they may just lose some seats."
I have been with you on this since the beginning. I think the only way the dims can pull off a takeover of either chamber is by fraud and, in addition to the concerns about the Venazuelan lunatic having an interest in the voting machine company, here in Missouri we have ACORN.
ACORN Accused of More Bogus Election Forms:

We have a hugh and series problem here. If the dems can't win, they are going to toss overboard the notion of an orderly transition of power regardless of what it will do to this country.

Agree Bah. Some have already started chanting the voter fraud (by the Pubbies) since they see the 'hugh wave to vote Dims' starting to crash down upon them.
BTW everyone - another potentially good show this weekend:
Hannity on America - FNC 9 ET, 6 PT. Mark Levin said he had decided to come back to TV and will be on, too (debating some leftwingers). Could prove to be good.
Also, there is a Corker/Ford debate on C-Span 1 at 7 this evening. Need to leave soon, so will record it!

This is from the Wolf v. Hunter piece that Phsstpok posted:
This insurgent video showing sniper attacks on U.S. soldiers in Iraq was given to CNN by insurgents calling themselves the Islamic Army after CNN sent e-mail questions to the group.
This makes one wonder if CNN isn't actually soliciting things like this video.

What a job, can't believe how much work you put into this every week!! You should get an emmy or something!!
I was rather upset that Rush devoted so much air time into the fox thing but will not bring it up any more, since I am hoping we will all concentrate on the major issues of the race during the last few days.
I will be judging the thread tomorrow.
Great job once again phsstpok!

Thanks for the reminder on the debate...
BTW...watching Newswatch right now...and this is the WORST ever...there is absolutely NO ONE talking FOR the conservative side..
Cal Thomas even laughed about being able to have lunch and meetings with Condi, Rummy and Cheney....while Neal said "it is out of desperation"....and no one disputed that.
Jane HALL is WAY over to Neal Gablerland these days.
BTW..I was listening to Hugh Hewitt last night..and he played the whole interview between Wolf and Lynne Cheney...and then, later played TWO sentences that Wolf said during the interview..back to back...
When talking about the sniper video...he said, "We SAID it was a propaganda piece.."..."this was NOT a propaganda piece"...LOL Hugh kept playing those two sentences back to back, over and over.
