The reality is is that multi-lingual ballots and illegal immigrant pandering is a vote-getting tactic of Democrat (and sometimes Republican) politicians, not a popular movement supported by Liberals.

For Savage to choose issues such as preserving English as our national language, promoting American culture, and protecting our border as his signature causes, is hardly risking offense of Liberals.

Oh, I see. In your opinion Savage only expresses controversial views on issues that won't offend liberals. Is that right? That tells you really don't listen to his show much. Have you heard his views on fighting the Islamofacsists in GWOT and the use of torture? How about his views on same sex marriage or the ACLU? Or his view supporting gun ownership? I could go on and on.

Go over to the Media Matters web site and see what they have say about Savage. I can assure you that the true liberals over at MM and elsewhere are no fans of Savage. He is right up there with Rush and Coulter, he is one of the conservatives that the left absolutely despise

I believe he wants to throw RICO at them, which isn't a bad idea, come to think of it.

You're right on two counts -- I don't listen to his show much, and Savage certainly DOES go against the Liberal grain (I have listened to him, you know!) with regard to fighting Islamofacists, the use of torture (he's thrillingly eloquent, in fact! ;^), and the ACLU. Those are the times I find him listenable, indeed!

My point is that to pretend that advocating English-only, secure borders, and promoting American culture as opposed to "multiculturalism" is anti-Liberal, is just that -- pretending.

The "borders, language, culture" thing is pretty safe because it's something most liberals and conservatives candidly agree on. That liberals are most likely to vote in politicians who then advocate for the opposite in order to secure more votes for themselves, is "a whole 'nother talk show," to quote Wanda Mary Normile.

I really don't know whether Michael Savage is a good thing because he may help Liberal fringe lunatics find their way to conservatism by speaking to them in their language, or a bad thing because he spends such an inordinate amount of time (as does Laura Ingraham, another sadly overrated "conservative" talk show host) knocking fellow conservatives and gut-punching conservative morale.

One thing for certain: if he is advocating that conservatives just stay at home this Nov. 7, he's doing more harm than good.
