I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."

It just mentions his spaced out actions before and during his time as Governor of which I was a resident for the entire 8 years. His most despicable act of all, and there were many, was his association with Hanoi Jane Fonda and her looney left friends.
OK, you know so much about what Savage really thinks, do you? Tell us all the TRUE reason(s) why Savage supports Brown.
Michael and his family live in Marin. So does Melanie Morgan and her family.
A friend, who is a conservative radio personality, tells me that his opinion is that Savage's show is an act. I think it is too, and this probably proves it.
Nonetheless, Brown is an interesting guy in person. He opposes single payer healthcare, for instance, as illegal in CA. This endears him to many healthcare industry types.
I find that he is a smart, free thinking, savy politician who understands where the Left overextends itself. He really hates Leftist institutions that inhibit social and economic progress too much, such as the Oakland Schools, because they are a drag on his party.
He is without doubt, however, still a hardcore Dem; he's just a bit smarter about how to advance their cause.
It's the arrogance of some that want to crucify Savage out of the pure ignorance to why Savage contributed to Brown that I find amazing.
This makes absolutely no sense. Is this supposed to be a defense of Savage?

The socialist liberals have made their power and authority over Jerry Brown to Jerry Brown very clear, during his term as mayor in Oakland.
But he is without doubt a step in the Democrat direction UP from having SAG Lockyer. Even liberals know this. SAG Lockyer openly defies laws he personally disagrees with.

This is a bit like "supporting cleaner air and purer water and creating better jobs." What idiot would come out against it?
Many of the most vehement California Liberals I know are outspoken in their desire for English-only and their disdain for Mexicans (illegal or not!). They congratulate themselves for defying what they wrongly assume is my conservative stereotype of Liberals.
The reality is is that multi-lingual ballots and illegal immigrant pandering is a vote-getting tactic of Democrat (and sometimes Republican) politicians, not a popular movement supported by Liberals.
For Savage to choose issues such as preserving English as our national language, promoting American culture, and protecting our border as his signature causes, is hardly risking offense of Liberals.
I always figured Savage just to be misguided; I've tried listening to him many times, and continue to give him a chance now and then. While his anti-Republican diatribes and pessimism are bad, what's infinitely worse is his cry-baby martyr crap about how other conservatives ignore him because he dares to criticize the conservative status quo.
I'm beginning to think some of the folks here are right -- that it's not a case of being misguided, it's a case of being a saboteur.
Think for a moment... You're a "conservative" talk show host, with the 3rd largest audience in the nation...ove 8.25 million people. You're savvy enough to know that all contributions are made public... You HAVE to know that this contribution - not a few hundred, but the max allowed under law, will be questioned...
When questioned by the media, wouldn't that (military schools) be the very first thing that you would bring up? Wouldn't that be fresh in your mind, and easy to recall? Instead, he said he didn't know the other guy, and lots of other lame-ass excuses
He even went so far as to say all California GOPers are useless, that they haven't done anything. He'd rather give to Brown, where he's accomplished something (1 thing out of hundreds of hideous policies)...
Please think about that for a second... It just doesn't make sense... Finding something he agreed with AFTER the fact is much more plausible, IMHO... Lormand/Checkers- am I wrong? Does it surprise you that so many Savage fans buy this excuse wholesale without even questioning it?
If I look hard enough, I can probably find an isolated vote Hillary has cast in the Senate that I agree with out of the many, many votes she has cast. I guess then I should contribute cash to her campaign to reward her for "doing the right thing"?
