I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."
RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

I too have started to question the motives and sympathies of Michael Savage. I started listening to him back in early spring ‘04, but not to the extent of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity. After the Election of ‘04, I began to notice that he attacked Republicans seemingly more often than Democrats. Whether he is bipolar, schizophrenic, or a plant of the Left, is unknown to me, but he is certainly no conservative I would like to associate with. My reasons for distrusting him are as follows:
1) He lives in San Francisco, despite criticizing it constantly
2) He is from Queens
3) His father was an atheist and FDR Democrat
3) He has a accent of a New York yankee (in the bad fast-talking cosmopolitan leftist way)
4) His activities during the 1960’s are questionable
5) While men were serving the USA in uniform or some other commendable capacity, Weiner was collecting plants in the Pacific
6) He associated with Timothy Leary, the infamous LSD pusher
More recently:
7) He has continually insulted supporters of President Bush, dismissing them as “Bush Bots”
8) Claims to know how to conduct a successful war, while continually criticizing the leadership
9) Routinely insults other right-wing talk show hosts, for often irrational reasons
10) Sympathizes with Mayor Gavin Newsome
11) Sucked up to Sen. Schumer during the Dubai Ports ‘scandal’
12) Sucked up to Rep. Rangel on his draft proposal;
yet, Weiner’s children never served, nor would be affected by any such measure
14) Commended Nancy Pelosi for meeting with al-Assad, claiming that Arab nationalists are less dangerous that Islamic Fascists
15) Lives in San Fransico!!!
Oh, Justine Bateman,
How I loved thee!
In Arcadia,
In the days of my Youth.
The first 6 things on your list are just silly. Most are just facts.
I was born somewhere, my dad had his beliefs, and spoke differently than I, was excommunicated from his church, didn’t serve (family were pacifists), and had some drinking buddies.
The other stuff is mostly fluff. Insulted supporters of Bush? Do you mean you?
He’s an armchair general-so what?
Mocks the competition. Do you have a thin skin?
Sympathizes with “any twosome Newsome?”
Ummm... okay.
Alright, Shumer and Rangel I could do without.
What do his, or any kids of any talkers have to do with this. Geez.
Finally, one I can agree with: he was too easy on Assad.
OMG, he lives in S.F. Sicko. I guess that’s a crime in your world.
