I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."
RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

Everyone please take a good look at the above. That's what was stated by Blue State Insurgent, the person who has been calling all of us "ignorant" and "uninformed" throughout the duration of this thread.

You tied Brown to Hillary why? Just to fear monger?
I did not "tie" Brown to Hillary. I offered separate hypothetical which you refusing to respond to. You are either intentionally trying to distort what I said or you did not read very carefully.
How dare I defend someones right to contribute to a politician for actually doing something good over the objections of the local leftists!
No one here that I can see has questioned his right to do it. We are questioning his motives in doing so.
He is being supported as the most conservative viable alternative to an anti-American, dangerous leftist. There is absolutely no comparison - and your continuing to attempt to do so is an insult to anyone with a modicum of intelligence.
Yet if I were on AM radio, I'd be the very word of gospel, huh?
Look, Zippy.. learning is something I will have from qualified folks.
Not radio personalities. Not television personalities. Not the media.
Pity you fail to grasp the distinction.
So, it's about power not principal.
Overwhelmingly stupid.
You are such a name caller. Thats takes great talent
I hope it sinks in.
You really know how to drive the nail all the way home.
You are posting stupid things that are insulting - that is not name calling it is stating a fact. Don't post stupid things if you don't want them to be called stupid.
Drive it home... drive home to those 10 million listeners.
Drive it home to listeners of the 3 rd largest radio show in the nation.
And when exactly did you meet him and did he give you leave to call him familiar?
Try reading.. FR is a great place to do it.
You know I kept it civil and didn't get personal but you're a jerk. My mistake for initiating the conversation.
i'll tell what is insulting.
To be in as many close races we are in against propably the worst crop of democrats this nation has ever seen is insulting.
This thread is still going?
what was it about again? Oh yeah the raging lunatic supporting the raging moonbeam former governor and current mayor of Oakland?
Here's some more fun stuff about Brown
Quotes:
Prisons don't rehabilitate, they don't punish, they don't protect, so what the hell do they do?
It doesn't matter what I say as long as I sound different from other politicians.
Inaction may be the biggest form of action.
The government is becoming the family of last resort.

Look at his great crime reduction in Oakland, I mean sheesh, they went three whole weeks without a murder this year!
No one could justify Savage contributing to Kerry or Hillary's campaign - but for some reason there's an attempt to justify Brown's campaign - it stinks - there's no way around it....
back to your original point - http://www.governor.ca.gov/govsite/govsgallery/h/biography/governor_34.html
Alright, we can agree on that.
I would never have judged Savage had I not listened to him before or caught him on his short-lived MSNBC show before he viciously attacked a gay man calling him a sodomite. The guy is at the least unstable and at the most a fake. I think he is lampooning conservatives and I can't believe how many people are gullible enough to swallow what he's selling
Sorry I misunderstood that. Savage only attacked that man after he was attacked on his show and for that reason only, so to make like Savage is unstable and a fake because of that incident seems to me an awfully weak argument, but then again like Savage I'm no fan of the sodomite community anyway.
So let me get this right, conservatives who listen to and like Savage are just gullible masochists who don't really understand that Savage is but making fools of them. So says the ever 'right'eous streetpreacher? Oh preach to me brother, explain to me the error of my wrong-headed dumbfounded gullible stupid ways, I wonder if it's this gullibility and stupidity that's brought me to the same conservative forum as yourself?
He also would have no chance of getting elected regardless of what anyone could do for him. The pragmatic choice is Lieberman... as weird as that choice is.
I am glad that I don't have to vote for him though... I'm voting for Lott on the 7th... and against that socialist/marxist dim congresscritter, Gene Taylor.
LLS
exactly...Couldn't have said it better
I don't agree with his politics, but Jerry Brown is somebody I've always respected as a person. He was the only Dem not to endorse clinton. He campaigned for a flat tax and as an AG, I think he would not show favoritism. I could live with him as an AG.
